Critical Capture

A totally new mechanic of capture isthe Critical Capture. This featureworks like Critical Hits in battlewhere there is a slight chance thatthis feature occurs. Critical Capturewill be noticed when you throw thePokéball. It’ll pause in mid-air andmake a metal noise. When it hits thePokémon, it will shake once andcapture. This cuts two of the fourrandom calculations out of the overalcapture mechanic making it more likelyto capture the Pokémon. However, itcan still fail.

The calculation is done by a simplefactor depending upon the amount ofPokémon species you have captured. Itwill run this calculation based uponthe capture value calculated above andwill then have another random numberbased upon the Pokémon you havecaptured.
