Can't select Pokemon in Pokemon showdown?

Since I don’t hav a ds or Pokemon oras/xy I wanted to battle in Pokemon showdown. But when I enter the battle I can’t choose my Pokemon. When I press on my Pokemon, it only shows me the stats and item but not select it. Even if I somehow do manage to select them, the same thing happens to my moves. It doesn’t use the move but instead shows me what the move does. Need help and quick! If any of you have experienced this before, pls help me! Thanks!

I also use mobile to play showdown, but its harder to control than on a pc. You said it shows stats and items, so it should select it. Once you have clicked a Pokemon it will display the items. This is what should show after you click the Teambuilder then click+New Team:After you click a+Add Pokemon:After you click a Pokemon :

After you click a Pokemon it asks you to click a move then so on and so on until the stats. If you want to skip a step eg. you want to choose a move before the items, just click the text-box.
