Charizard or Blaziken?

So, I have finally beat Red and now I need to choose a water and fire starter from Oak and Steven. I’m stuck between Charmander and Torchic. I love both of them even though they’re really overrated, so I just wanna know which is more reliable. Please tell the pros and cons between them, like stats or movepools. A moveset is appreciated as well :)Thanks.

They both are good Pokemon, but I choose charizard because blaziken is not nearly as good without the DW ability speed boost.

Charizard Pros:- Great movepoolSome moves are:OutrageThunder punchIron tailShadow clawAir slashFlare blitzHeat waveDragon pulse(Not including TMs)- Slightly higher defenses- IT’S A FREAKING DRAGON!!

Cons:- Stealth rock weakness- Not quite as effective running mixed sets

Now for blaziken.

Pros:- No stealth rock weakness- Runs a good mixed set- Higher both attacks

Cons:- Pretty shallow movepool- Lower speed- No DW speed boost

So my recommended moveset for charizard is:

Charizard @ Life OrbAbility: BlazeEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpdTimid Nature- Fire Blast- Focus Blast- Air Slash- Roost
