Could you end a battle between a ditto and a ditto?

If you are battling someone with just a ditto, such as a secret base trainer, and you have just a ditto in your party, how could you end the battle? Could there be a winner?

Since every time Transform is used, it gives the Pokémon using it the target’s moveset with 5 PPeach, Transform will continue to Transform into itself, restoring the PP every time it is used. Due to this, one will never reach a point where it can only use Struggle,

The battle will be over after a few Struggles

Yes. The fastest Ditto would transform into the other Ditto, and the slowest Ditto would try to transform but would fail. After that, they each constantly use Transform (which will repeatedly fail) until the PP drains out and they start to use Struggle, which would KO them due to recoil.

Endless battles are impossible in Gen 6, apart from the strategy described bySmogon’s Endless Battle Clause, which is caused wilfully anyway and can be stopped at any time by the player in control.

Yes, there can be a victor. It’s a matter of whose Struggle would faint who first. This is because Transform’s PP would run out and the last resort would be to use Struggle.
