How can I get more shinies in X?

I’ve always seen people running into tons of shinies but I haven’t even seen one; is there a way to find them or possibly increase the chances of finding one?

To increase the chances of finding one, you must have the shiny charm from the professor but in order for him to give it to you, ou must at least seen all the Pokemon.

To find one, either breed one, find one via chaining, or chain fish.
