Several websites say that the way to get a Pokemon with its hidden ability is to find it using dexnav. As you find them more times in a row, the chance that they have a hidden ability also rises. If it has the hidden ability, an exclamation mark appears next to the ability.

But how to you get starters with hidden abilities? eg :snivy with contrary, froakie with protean, chespin with bulletproof…

Since you can’t catch any of them in the wild, how do you get them???

KantoandJohtostarters transferred from theVirtual Consoleversions of RBY and GSC always will have their hidden abilities.

HoennandKantostarters can be found with their hidden abilities inDynamax Adventuresin the Crown Tundra DLC of SwSh. Note for Hoenn, only the fully evolved starters are found with their hidden abilities; the middle evolutions have their original abilities

Sinnohstarters can be obtained with their hidden abilities by transferring any Pokemon from BDSP to Pokemon Home and claiming the Mystery Gift in the mobile version of Home.

Galarianstarters can be obtained with their hidden abilities by transferring any Pokemon from SwSh to Pokemon Home and claiming the Mystery Gift in the mobile version of Home.
