How do you obtain Pokemon with Hidden Abilities?[closed]

I’m fine with obtaining the ‘perfect’ Pokemon until I need a Pokemon with its hidden ability.

How do you catch a Pokemon with its hidden ability?(Include lots of details, I am clueless on this topic)

How do you pass down hidden abilities through breeding?When breeding with a Ditto that has its HA, will the offspring have its HA, or does the Mom/Dad need to have their HA to pass it down?

One possibility is aFriend safari. You have to be online at the same time as the friend whose Friend safari you’re visiting in order to get hidden abilities from that safari.

Once the player has been online in-game at the same time as a friend, the Pokémon in that friend’s Safari will thereafter have a chance of having their Hidden Ability.

Another option areHorde encounters.

Pokémon encountered in hordes may also have their Hidden Ability.

Generation V

In Generation V, female Pokémon with Hidden Abilities have a 60% chance of passing on the Hidden Ability to their offspring when bred with a male Pokémon from the same Egg Group.

Generation VI

In Generation VI, any Pokémon, including male and genderless Pokémon, can pass down their Hidden Ability when bred with Ditto.Ditto’s Ability is irrelevant to inheritance.

As you can see, if the Ditto has the HA, the offspringwill not have it.

You can’t get every Pokemon with a HA from a safari or a horde, as there’s a set number of them available. You have to breed all the others.

Dream world is relevant.

A Pokémon found in the Dream World will always have its Hidden Ability, if it has one. Pokémon found in the Dream World have about a 25% chance of being female regardless of gender distribution, unless the Pokémon can be of only one gender.

Friend Safari

This is the easiest way to get Pokémon with hidden abilities in X and Y. If you and your friend have been online together at least once, then the Pokémon that appear in the Friend Safari can have hidden abilities. Use a Pokémon with the ability Trace to make it easier to find the Pokémon with hidden abilities.

Horde Encounters

In X and Y, there is a small chance that a Pokémon in the horde will have its hidden ability. It will be more difficult and time consuming hunting them out though.

To pass down hidden abilities, one of the parents need to have the hidden ability. I believe females have a higher chance off passing it down, but I’m not sure.
