How much damage will Weather Ball do in sunlight?

1 minute read

Weather Ball is very confusing to me. How much damage does it do in the sun? 75? 100? 150? 200? Does it get the fire-type boost from the sun? (Not talking about STAB)

If a weather condition is in effect, its power doubles to 100 and the move becomes a different type

Edit:In sun and rain, the power of Weather Ball will gain an additional 50% power because Fire- and Water-type moves are boosted respectively in those conditions. (Other weather conditions don’t receive any type boost.)

So if a fire type uses Weather Ball it will get Sunny Day boost STAB boost and Weather ball goes from 50 Base damage to 100.

The Power of Weather Ball is initially 50, however, when used in any Weather such asSunlight, then it will beDoubled to 100.

However, Weather Ball’s Type can also change toFire, Ice, Rock, or Water, making it possible for an Ice Type Pokemon such as Froslass to receive STAB from Weather Ball, totaling to150instead of 100.

The power and type of Weather Ball changes with the weather. With no weather condition it is Normal type and has a base power of 50. If a weather condition is in effect, its power doubles to 100 and the move becomes a different type:
