How would you build a bulky alolan ninetails?
I was breeding a bunch of Snow Warning Alolan Vulpix in USUM, trying to get one with a timid or modest nature, and by luck from Masuda Method (I got a decent IV Japanese Ditto from wonder trade), I got a shiny with a bold nature. While it’s not the ideal nature, it got me thinking of how to build it. Could I successfully make it a more bulky mon, or should I just go with standard build? I mean, between insta hail and Aurora Veil, it’s already got some start, but I don’t know what other moves I could use. It gets some decently good stall/wall type moves. Calm Mind, Toxic, Will-O-Wisp, Rest, Protect, and some others. Problem is, no egg moves. So, is there a way to successfully turn this into a build others wouldn’t predict, or is that lower defense and HP insurmountable?

It’s a nature with which you can work with. Here is a set I devised:Ninetales-Alola @ Light ClayAbility: Snow WarningEVs: 36 HP / 24 Def / 220 SpA / 12 SpD / 216 SpeBold NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Aurora Veil- blizzard- Toxic- dazzling gleammoon blast for STAB coverage. freeze dry for water types and pesky mega swamperts which is also STAB. If you want power you can opt for blizzard, I’ll prefer freeze dry though.here are some calcs:220 SpA Ninetales-Alola Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny: 192-228 (70.8 - 84.1%) – guaranteed 2HKO220 SpA Ninetales-Alola Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gyarados: 186-218 (56.1 - 65.8%) – guaranteed 2HKO220 SpA Ninetales-Alola Blizzard vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Garchomp: 576-684 (161.3 - 191.5%) – guaranteed OHKOEDIT: New calcs and changed set
