If you Transferred a Shiny Pokemon from Gen II to Gen I, then Transferred it Back, Would it Still be Shiny?
Sorry for spamming the Time Capsule questions
Example: Say you cheated or something to get a shiny Mew in your Gold/Silver/Crystal Version. Then you transferred it to Red/Blue/Yellow. Mew is meant to have set IV’s correct? Would it turn into a glitch Pokemon, or stay the same? Then if you traded it back, would it still be shiny?

Yesif you transfer a Pokémon from a Generation II game to a Generation I game and then back again, it willstillbe Shiny.

Although since Shiny Pokémon were not available in Generation I, it is only logical that if a Shiny Pokémon is transferred from a Generation II game to Generation I game, it would appear the same as any other Pokémon of the same species.
Hope I helped :)
I don’t actually know if this is the case, seeing as Pokemon was coded in ASM, but I’ll give my opinion. I’d say it’s okay to do it if you’re trading between Generation 2 and Generation 1 (GBA), but for Generation 1 (GBC), I’d say don’t. (Don’t quote me) | I think since the variable wasn’t created in Generation 1 (GBC) It may be ignored meaning that it may not be even copied over or even be transferred back. However It may depend on a different coding variable that actually designates the Pokemon as a shiny Pokemon. I do know without a doubt that the Generation 1 (GBC) game will not show the Pokemon as a shiny seeing as the game hadn’t had that feature yet. I don’t know for sure, but I’d say steer clear of trading shiny’s between Gen 1 (GBC) and other games. If you find that it works go right ahead. Just trying to help. ;)
