Is a team of full tanks better than a team full of attackers?

1 minute read

I want to make a team for battle tree singles, but whenever I use only tanks, the battles last way too long. But on contrary, whenever I use only my attackers, whenever I get a bad match up, I can’t do much, and have to restart. Any ideas for the balance of tanks and attacker I should put in?

The best team I know of got over 4000 wins. It has 2 tanks/support and one Pokemon that’s both a tank and a sweeper. So I guess tanks are good.

I wouldn’t use too many tanks, but I wouldn’t use too many attackers with bad defenses. I would recommend 1 Hard-hitting attacker, 1 Tank, and for the last spot either a bulky attacker or a tank. A good team could be:Zoroark@Choice SpecsAbility:IllusionNature:ModestEVs:252 Sp.Attack 252 Speed 4 HP•Night Daze•Flamethrower•Grass Knot•Focus BlastBlissey@LeftoversAbility:Natural CureNature:CalmAbility:Natural CureEVs: 252 HP 252 Sp.Defense 4 Defense•Toxic•Protect•Seismic Toss•Soft BoiledSteelix@SteelixniteAbility:Any———-Sand ForceNature:BraveEVs:252 Attack 252 Defense 4 HP•Gyro Ball•Earthquake•Rest•CurseHope this helps!
