Is Archaludon a Psuedo-Legendary?

2 minute read

It has a base 600 stat spread, although it isn’t in the slow EXP group, and it’s not in a 3-stage evolution. Is it in the same boat as Slaking, where it has 600 BST, but isn’t a psuedo-legendary?

Archaludon is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 600 that isnota Legendary, Mythical, Mega Evolution, orpseudo-legendary Pokémon. The Japanese Pokémon fandom includes it in a separate, but similar group to pseudo-legendary Pokémon, namely the “600 club” (600族ぞく)

Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon, also called Late Bloomers, is a fan term for a group of powerful Pokémon that are not officially classified as a Legendary Pokémon. All Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon are the final form of a three-stage evolution line, have a base stat total of 600 and require 1,250,000 experience points to reach level 100.

Archaludon is not a pseudo-legendary Pokemon. It does not have three stages, and it only requires 1,000,000 experience points to be at level 100.

Regarding your curiosity around Slaking, I found this:

Slaking may have a Base Stat Total of 670 but as said in the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon page “The Pokémon’s Base stat should be exactly 600.“so Slaking isn’t considered a Pseudo-Legendary but it is considered as aSemi-Pseudo Legendary.

I hope this helps!

Slaking isn’t pseudo-legendary because it has 670BST, not 600. On the other hand, Archulodon isn’t Psuedo because it isn’t three stage evolution or slow experience group.

If you look on the website the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon have three evolutions and are (not in order) are Dragonite, Dragapult, Metegross, Baxcalibur, Garchomp, Hydrigon, Tyranitar, Salamance, Goodra and Kommo-o. since Archalodon is not any of the above nor has a three stage evolution it is there for not a Pseudo-Legendary but a Semi-Pseudo Legendary
