Is it possible to set up an Egglocke on a legit cartridge of Gold and Silver?

Yes, It is entirely possible.

What you need:

Using the first copy of gold or silver, (the one your not doing the egglocke on) you will use theTM17 ACE glitchto get one Pokemon from every BREEDABLE evolution line

Deposit a ditto into the Pokemon daycare with each Pokemon individually until you get an egg for every single one

Get any Pokemon and give it a rare candy to hold

Start a new save file on the second copy of Pokemon gold or silver, and play normally until you get to the point where you can obtain pokeballs

On the second copy, catch any Pokemon and use theduplication glitchto make 108 copies of that Pokemon (one for each egg + the rare candy Pokemon)

Trade over all of the eggs + the rare candy Pokemon for the duplicated Pokemon

Pick a random egg, hatch it, then switch it out for your starter

Your egglocke has started!

Notes:

The rare candy Pokemon is used to reduce grinding. When you switch out a captured Pokemon for an egg, you can duplicate the rare candy Pokemon to get enough rare candies to make the level of thepokemon hatched equal to the captured Pokemon

THIS WILL TAKE TIME!!! If you are patient and trust the process then the result is incredibly fun and rewarding

The duplication glitch works the same for gold, silver, and crystal

This can not be done on a copy of crystal because (to my knowledge) the TM17 glitch can only be done in gold and silver

This can only be done on real carts because (to my knowledge) the link cable does not work for fake copies

If you want increased shiny egg odds then you can use the TM17 glitch to make the breeding ditto shiny for a 1/64 shiny chance!
