Is it true about shiny Pokemon?

1 minute read

I’ve heard that if you see stars come out of your ball after you catch a Pokemon it means you’ve caught a shiny Pokemon. Is this true? If so, can you not see if it’s a shiny while your battling it? Isn’t it sparkle when you see it

If it looks like these, then yes.

Also, a [Shiny][4] Pokemon has a star in its summary, like this: ![][5]

Shiny Pokemon are much easier to identify by color. Check [here][6] for the Shiny Gallery.

(Note: Just the sparkles when catching the Pokemon has nothing to do with Shininess.)[1]:https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ6kiALvOeb1X0Y2cr9X5p3PMBBlXVrMZZeNYCNOpCe9JpYH96N[2]:https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRhZ48R69AK-Xc0uCiAGvssk7k0mcoA-4pysos28fTzFqdrZ-g7[3]:http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/4/4c/Shiny_Sandile.png[4]:http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Shiny[5]:http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/d/de/ShinyVStar.png[6]:http://pokemondb.net/pokedex/shiny

Um, no.The stars coming out means that the Pokemon is caught. Shiny Pokemon sparkle when they enter battle, so you’ll be able to tell.
