Is Kadabra or Hypno better for an LGP/E playthrough?

I don’t have friends, so no Alakazam for me. I can’t decide between Hypno or Kadabra. Both seem like valuable team members.

Kadabra- Much better Special Attack than Hypno- Faster than Hypno- Learns moves like Dazzling Gleam, Shadow Ball, Thunder Wave, and Psychic- Abra evolves early- It can be a pain to catch- Alakazam outclasses it in every way- It’s frail- Shallow movepool

Hypno- Very good Special Defense- Learns moves like Nasty Plot, the Elemental Punches, Tri Attack, Brick Break, and Disable- Much wider movepool than Kadabra- Equal attacking stats allow it to go mixed well- Mediocre stats except for Special Defense- Evolves later than Abra- (Ugly)

Kadabra is better. It’s easier to get, and it punches holes in most things with its ridiculously powerful moves. Hypno gets more options, but Kadabra only needs a few.

Kadabra- Psychic- Shadow Ball- Dazzling Gleam- Recover / Tri Attack / Thunder Wave

While Hypno has Better Base Stats, Kadabra is also very strong. Also In FireRed it says: It carries a pendulum-like device. There once was an incident in which it took away a child it hypnotized. I mean, like that Kadabra is nicer. I chose Kadabra. Hope I helped!
