Is there an amount of steps for an egg?

Basically,I want to know how many steps it would take to make pokemon(in this case ditto and golett)breed and lay an egg.I read somewhere else that I have a 19.8% chance of having an egg since my pokemon won’t get along.HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Every 256 steps your pokemon have a chance to have an egg so just keep running around and they will eventually lay an egg.

Firstly, the thing you read about the 19.8% chance is wrong. Percentage isn’t what breeding requires - it takes requirements.

For Ditto & Gollet:If you have your Golett Egg, just walk 6,630 steps and the Egg will hatch. To do it quickly, I just ride my Bike up and down Route 3.

If your not using a Ditto, you will need Pokemon with the matchingEgg Groups.You can also get the young Pokemon to learn ‘Egg Moves’ via Breeding certain Pokemon with others.

Breeding & Eggs takes a bit of getting used to - it was tricky when I was a novice, but you’ll get it eventually!

Well there isn’t an exact amount of steps but heres how it go’s. If the man says that the pokemon are getting along well then they’ll poop er I mean lay an egg VERY quickly. If it says that the pokemon aren’t getting along well, they can still lay an egg but it will take a VERY long time. If he says that they prefer to play with other pokemon then there will be a ZERO percent chance of getting one. any other lines besides will also mean that they wil lay an egg. The better the man says they get along, the faster they will breed er lay an egg.
