Is this Baton Pass strategy good???

1 minute read

Okay, so this is my team that I mainly use in Random Matchups:Rotomw/ Light Clay,Scizorw/ x Defend, andChanseyw/ Eviolite.(Depending on opponent’s team, I will replaceChanseywithHitmonchan,Latias, orDragonite)

~Strategy: I send out my Rotom first, and use eitherReflectorLight Screen, ( depending on opponent’s first Pokemon ), thenVolt Switchto Scizor. I will have Scizor useSubstitute, then useIron Defense1-3 times, ( depending on how injured my Scizor is ), thenBaton Passto my Chansey. Now that my Chansey will be an unbreakable wall ( almost ), I’ll useMinimize3 times. Then I’ll poison the enemy withToxicand spamSeismic Tosswith the added poison effect. If the opponent has a Steel type out, I’ll just spamSeismic Toss; if there’s a Ghost type, I’ll useToxicand spamSoftboiled; if there’s a Gengar out, then I’m just screwed lol, but not many people use Gengar anyways.

MyScizor’sitem is just there, I don’t know what else to give it. And I know if the enemyTauntme, it’ll mess up my plan, so would it be better if both myRotomandScizorhadTauntthemselves, which will help and also prevents the enemy from setting up? I don’t have a set strategy withHitmonchan,Latias, andDragonite, I just wing it and go all out offensive, since they don’t have any status changing moves anyway.

Is this a good strategy? If not, please explain, and please give some advice on how I can improve! Maybe changes in Pokemons, moves/moveset, and held items? Anything (:

No, it’s not a good strategy because if your Chansey is Taunted by a Ghost-type, you’re screwed. And Ghost-types frequently use Taunt.

It’s gimmicky and takes many turns to set up whist you could have already swept. And if Evasion Clause is active, you can’t use Minimise.

I’ll add stuff later.
