Should I use Close Combat or High Horsepower on Glastrier?
Glastrier @ LeftoversAbility: Chilling NeighEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAdamant Nature- Substitute- Swords Dance- Icicle Crash- High Horsepower
This is the current set. High Horsepower allows me to smash through Pokemon like Zeraora, Toxtricity, and other Pokemon that my current team can’t handle too well. On the other hand, Close Combat is a very good Fighting move that allows me to beat up Chansey, Porygon2, other Ice types, and Tyranitar, among others. The drop in Defense/Special Defense hardly makes a dent in Glastrier’s sky-high defenses, so that’s a plus. I do have other means of taking out these Pokemon, but they’re not as good as Clsoe Combat could be. Which is the more useful move, and why? I’m playing Gen 8 Monotype, and the rest of my team is Ninetales-A, Mamoswine, Weavile, Kyurem, and Arctozolt.
Thanks in advance.

Certainly high horsepower. You know that mamoswine can have superpower, right? That’s a great option for coverage. Even in ubers caly-ice always runs high horsepower. It’s almost earthquake’s base power. Chansey even with defence EVs doesn’t like icicle crash. Certainly not after swords dance. It covers steel, rock and fire types well. 3 weaknesses covered. That’s a lot whereas cc only covers 2 weaknesses. And don’t even talk about pory-2. Choice band Zac hero 2HKOs it.(with defence investment)You can take it down with arurora veil support. Also banded mamo superpower can deal with it.Side note: be sure to have freeze dry on kyurem. Water is very commonly used. It isn’t related but still it’s a good idea to do so.Hope this helps.
