TheBestPhysical Wall in the entire NU tier (Opinionated) and I wouldn’t know about it if Ben didn’t wipe the floor with me with his Weezing.Will-O-Wisplowers the users Attack adding to the Physical wall and any set ups the opponent may attempt will be cut short byClear Smog.Pain Splitis your recovery andSludge Bombchips away at the opponents health in fairly large amounts.
Item: LeftoversTrait: Water AbsorbCalm natureEVs: 248 HP / 8 SpA / 252 SpDMoveset~ Ice Beam~ Thunderbolt~ Surf~ Heal Bell / Toxic
Then there’s Lapras. The perfect Special wall.Toxichelps you stall the opponent to death and if you’re feel nice you can end them swiftly with eitherThunderbolt,Ice BeamorSurf. If you decide to haveHeal BelloverToxicthen you can keep clean of status and wall for longer.
NU has an incredibly low amount of viable spinners, and having a Pokemon with such a fantastic Defence stat as Torkoal that has access to Rapid Spin makes it a great Pokemon.
It has 70 / 140 / 70 Defences, and 70 Special Defence is pretty good in NU. Definitely better than Tangela’s 40. Anyway, this means that Torkoal can absorb many physical hits. According to Smogon, it can take Sawk and SD Samurott’s attacks twice, and Kangaskhan can only 3HKO.
Torkoal also has access to Stealth Rock, meaning it can spin your opponent’s hazards away and then set its own. It also has Lava Plume, which is pretty much a Fire-type equivalent to Scald, with 80 base power and a nifty 30% chance to burn, making it hard for physical attackers to switch into it; and if it does burn, its physical bulk is nearly unbreakable. Yawn can force switches and keep counters from killing Torkoal; this, on top of Lava Plume, makes Torkoal risky to switch into and can be hard to counter if you use him the correct way.
Shell Armor prevents critical hits from ruining its life, and Leftovers makes an attempt at recovery as Torkoal has no reliable recovery otherwise.

252+ Atk Choice Band Huge Power Azumarill Ice Punch vs. 248 HP / 148+Def Mandibuzz: 226-268 (53.42 - 63.35%) – guaranteed 2HKO
If that isn’t impressive, I don’t know what is. And that is from a top UU force ._.(I know it is for NU, just wanted to point that out)> 252+ Atk Normal Gem Gigalith Explosion vs. 248 HP / 148+ Def> Mandibuzz: 350-412 (82.74 - 97.39%) – guaranteed 2HKO
Funny thing is, there is no second turn after Explosion ._.
Trait: Big PecksEVs: 248 HP / 148 Def / 112 SpeBold Nature
Mandibuzz often hides under the shadow of her male counterpart Braviary that seems so much better then her in every way. Better looks, better nature, better offensive capabilities, more appealing movepool. Though don’t let this deceive you for she is equally dangerous to him. If it should ever be so that you made the mistake to underestimate her, take a look at the calculations above for this is one scary, bulky, bone vulture.Foul Playis just for those physical attackers that think that Mandibuzz is here for laughing matters. It will often just make quick work of them, plus you get some STAB :D.Tauntis what shouts no recovery! Most other walls will love to intoxicate or recover but Mandibuzz prohibits that. Say goodbye to Heal Bell as well. After you have stopped them from recovery doesn’t mean you can’t . For this reasonRoostwill enable it to make more lives miserable for a longer pace of time, isn’t she lovely :3. Now that you can stop intoxication and heal of damage, why not intoxicate yourself?Toxicwill slowly suck the living daylight out of any non-steal or poison type whiles Mandibuzz is there taking her time to Roost of the Damage and sharpening her claws because soon, it will be dinnertime
