What is a good Grass type in Pokemon White?

The best Grass type in White is probablyPetilil. It’s caught early, has good matchups into Clay and common Water types, and benefits from the potent combination of Own Tempo + Petal Dance. Though Lilligant is fairly one-dimensional, lacking coverage and struggling against Trainers like Burgh, these traits are not enough to detract from the sheer strength of its Grass STAB.

LilligantAbility: Own Tempo- Quiver Dance (Level 28 as Lilligant)- Giga Drain (Level 26 as Petilil)- Sleep Powder (Level 10 as Petilil)- Petal Dance (Level 46 as Lilligant)

You will want to evolve Petilil at either Level 26 or Level 27 so it can learn both Quiver Dance and Giga Drain.

So, we’ve come to suggesting a Bug/Grass type now have we? I would expect that from Will, but you Swampert? WHY? Are you forgetting that there is a really awesome Grass/Normal type called Sawsbuck?

You’ll probably want one with the ability Sap Sipper, as 95 base speed is enough for ingame purposes. And Grass types are a fairly common type. Sawsbuck is great ingame because of all the type coverage it has. Jump Kick, Horn Leech, Wild Charge, and Double-Edge/Return. A perfect ingame Pokemon. Although if you need a Grass type early on and this is for ingame Leavanny might work. I’d know best if I had the game.
