Hisuian Typhlosion

Flamethrower

Hex / Infernal Parade / Shadow Ball

Swift / Rollout

Thunder Punch / Move of your choice

GOSHdoes Hisuian Typhlosion make the game easier. The Alpha Krikcetune mandatory battle is really easy with Cyndaquil, and so is the frenzied Lilligant. Additionally, both Adaman & Irida have Pokemon weak to Typhlosion. While Oshawott makes some things easier (like the Kleavor battle), Buizel is also a good option. In addition, Typhlosion is tied with Samurott for lowest amount of weaknesses (5; still isn’t great), with Decidueye having a whopping 6, with one being a x4 instead of x2.

Floatzel

Aqua Jet / Aqua Tail

Ice Fang / Ice Punch

Crunch

Double Hit / anything

Buizel is really underrated. Its evolution has a BST of 495; not phenomenal, but good. Its movepool is good, especially with all the Ice moves it learns via Move Tutor. Plus, it’s easy to get early on.

Luxray

Thunder Fang / Wild Charge

Crunch

Ice Fang

Play Rough / anything

There is an unspoken rule about Sinnoh games: you kind of have to have Luxray on your team. A BST of 523, absurd Attack, and a single weakness are all in its favor. While its Speed isn’t the best, Ground types are usually much slower, which should let you get in a super-effective Ice Fang in quickly.

Gardevoir

Psychic

Moonblast

Hypnosis/Recover

Aura Sphere

Gardevoir is a cool Pokemon with some very powerful attacks. While you won’t have it for a little while, once you get to Crimson Mirelands you can find it. Before that, you can substitute with Abra/Kadabra.

Hisuian Zoroark

Shadow Ball

Sludge Bomb

Extrasensory

Swift

Normal and Ghost is a great combination! This guy also learns some pretty special moves.

Hisuian Goodra

Dragon Pulse / Draco Meteor

Steel Beam / Iron Head

Hydro Pump / Water Pulse

Shelter

The Dragon/Steel type combination is really cool. This ‘mon also has access to several Water type moves.

Let me know what you think!

Arcanine-HisuiNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- Rock Slide/Stone Edge- Fire Fang/Flare Blitz/Raging Fury- Crunch- Play Rough/AnythingRock Slide is a good alternative to Stone Edge if you don’t want to spend money on the tutor. Other Fire-types like Rapidash could also work, but Rapidash evolves late at level 40.

ScytherNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- X-Scissor- Aerial Ace- Sword Dance- AnythingYou could evolve it into Scizor or Kleavor, but I prefer the speed over greater defense and power. X-Scissor is good stab, and Swords Dance if you want to set up.

StaraptorNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- Roost- Close Combat- Aerial Ace/Brave Bird- Giga Impact/Anything- AnythingIf you don’t want the type overlap with Scyther, you could use one of the starters or whatever you want. Roost is good healing, and Close Combat is good coverage.

GengarNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Special Attack or Speed- Shadow Ball- Sludge Bomb- Dazzling Gleam- Hypnosis/ThunderboltYou could also use the Linking Cord on something else such as Alakazam, but Gengar is very good. Dazzling Gleam is nice coverage, and Shadow Ball and Sludge Bomb are your dual STABs.

LuxrayNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- Thunder Fang/Wild Charge- Play Rough- Ice Fang- CrunchLuxray kind of depends on tutoring to get some of his best moves, but at least he gets STAB and Crunch through level up.

SneaslerNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- Close Combat- Poison Jab- Iron Tail/Shadow Claw/Dire Claw- Drain Punch/ X-ScissorClose Combat and Poison Jab are both good STAB and Dire Claw isn’t great, but it can status the opponet. Drain Punch can heal back some damage, but Iron Tail, Shadow Claw, and X-Scissor are just coverage. Sneasler comes pretty late, at Coronet Highlands, so you could use something like Hisuian Lilligant:Hisuian LilligantNature: Preferably something that doesn’t lower Attack or Speed- Drain Punch- Leaf Blade- Poison Jab/Aerial Ace- Victory Dance/Close CombatDrain Punch is nice healing STAB and Leaf Blade is also good STAB. Poison Jab and Aerial Ace are decent coverage, and Close Combat is an Alternate, more powerful STAB. Victory Dance is an amazing setup move. Hisuian Lilligant is also a good alternative is you don’t want to use Sneasler at all.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is a game with unique dynamics, in which statistics such as defense or HP are usually more relevant than others such as speed or attack. Thus, a balanced Pokemon is one with good stats in all sections, with access to a good range of attacks. The Pokemon I recommend using can be obtained in the first two maps of the adventure, they are highly versatile and powerful. Without further ado, let’s get started:
