I have three different sets, they all have different uses depending on what you want on a mon
Slow pivot chinchou:Chinchou @ EvioliteAbility: Volt AbsorbEVs: 212 Def / 148 Spa / 148 SpdBold Nature- Volt Switch- Thunderbolt- Scald- Heal Bell
This set packs a lot of bulk, especially for a pivot Pokemon. This set soft checks vullaby, and it acts as a slow bulky pivot in order to get in your weaker Pokemon without them taking hits, and heal bell can help is act as an effective status cleric. Also lives a hit from diglett relatively comfortably so that is nice. Would recommend if your team hates status and you need a general bulky Pokemon to take hits your other Pokemon don’t want to.
Fast pivot chinchou:Chinchou @ EvioliteAbility: Volt AbsorbEVs: 132 Def / 148 Spa / 228 SpeBold nature- Volt Switch- Thunderbolt- Scald- Heal Bell/Ice Beam
This set is fast enough to be a fast pivot whilst also having eviolite bulk and not being scarf locked. This allows it to run heal bell and it can scald a Pokemon and then volt switch out, plus it isn’t locked into an electric move on a ground type. Also a soft vullaby check. Highly recommend, be careful around diglett.
Scarfed pivot chinchou:Chinchou @ Choice ScarfAbility: Volt AbsorbEVs: 52 Def / 228 Spa / 220 SpeTimid Nature- Scald/Hydro Pump- Thunderbolt- Volt Switch- Ice Beam
This is a fast scarfer chinchou. If you want a fast scarf pivot with electric STAB… then use magnemite. But if you want a fast scarf pivot with both water and electric STAB, then use this, it has good speed and special attack, it’s coverage and dual STAB are useful. It soft checks vullaby if it isn’t already locked into scald or hydro pump. Use it if you want a water and electric type scarfer, but magnemite outclasses it on most teams.
