Fast revenge killer. Close Combat is STAB + hits ghosts with Scrappy. Brave Bird is strong coverage. Knock Off is Psychic coverage. Poison Jab is fairy coverage.

Counter + Focus Sash to surprise faster physical attackers. Defog to prevent hazards. Close Combat is STAB + hits ghosts with Scrappy. Knock Off is psychic coverage, but Poison Jab is fairy coverage.

This set works wonders in LC. It’s one of the few Pokémon I run a Choice item on in this format, but a Choice Scarf really helps it’s lackluster speed. Scrappy means you don’t have to worry about Ghosts switching into Close Combat. Maxing our Speed and Attack is pretty important, for this set at least. 36 HP is just because you have leftover EVs, and it can help you survive priority (priority is quite common in LC, as far as I’ve seen). Jolly allows you to go as fast as possible. Close Combat is STAB, and it can hit Ghost types due to Scrappy. Knock Off gets rid of items, and it’s great with all of the Eviolite users in LC. Brave Bird is coverage. Poison Jab hits Fairies super effectively.

So… this is the set I use in LC, and it’s pretty good if you ask me.

Close Combat is STAB, and the other 3 moves provide plenty of coverage. I would prefer Knock Off because it covers Farfetch’d Psychic weakness and helps with those Eviolite users.

Gen 8 LC

A new form for Farfetch’d was really nice, giving this thing something to finally work with. Now, Leek boost this Pokemon’s critical hit ratio by +2, which lets this bird be a power house. Scrappy allows Fighting moves to hit Ghost type Pokemon, because after one Knock Off that move isn’t really good. Adamant Nature to hit harder. Knock Off prevents Eviolite mons from stalling as much, which is amazing to have. Night Slash has a high critical hit ratio which allows even more crits to happen and it is coverage. Poison Jab for Fairy coverage. Close Combat for STAB and Swords Dance too boost your attack.
