The second best lc gen 1 fire typeVulpixFlamethrower/Fire BlastBody Slam/Quick AttackFire SpinConfuse Ray/Quick AttackFlamethrower is the best accurate stab for it.Fire Blast is a bit risky, but is more powerful.Body Slam can paralyze and helps it not be useless against things resistant to fire.Quick Attack is to finish things off,but is very situational.Fire Spin is a gimmicky gen 1 Wrap type attack.Confuse Ray is for hax and possibly chip damage.Maybe you can use Quick Attack if you don’t want it to be super gimmicky. Also,it doesn’t have anything else.Overall, this thing is a worse Ponyta in every way,at least in gen 1.Only thing it has over ponyta is confuse ray.
Vulpix @ Choice Scarf/Choice specs/Life Orb/Heat rockAbility: DroughtEVs: 56 HP / 196 Spa / 236 SpeTimid/Modest nature- Weather Ball- Fire Blast/Will-O-Wisp- Overheat- Energy ball
Please note:
Do not use heat rock unless you have a Pokemon that GREATLY benefits from sun, such as charmander.
Only run modest on scarf and webs sets, and even then, either nature can be used
You might ask why we have weather ball and fire blast. It’s because weather ball has increased accuracy compared to fire blast, but fire blast can still be used if and when sun runs out. Full disclosure, you don’t use fire blast too much, but it’s better than anything else Vulpix can run, other than maybe will-o-wisp, but even that isn’t all that helpful compared to just pressing an attack
Gen 9 ZUSnow and Aurora Veil setterVulpix-Alola @ Icy RockAbility: Snow WarningTera Type: NahEVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 SpDefTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Aurora Veil- Blizzard / Freeze-Dry- Moonblast / Dark Pulse- Encore
It’s baby A-Ninetales that functions exactly like A-Ninetales. Icy Rock keeps Snow up longer and is used over Light Clay since that’s banned. Aurora Veil is a great support move. Blizzard / Freeze-Dry are Ice STAB. Blizzard is more powerful while Freeze-Dry hits Water types. Moonblast or Dark Pulse for different coverage options, since A-Vulpix doesn’t have the Fairy typing. Encore can trap your opponent in a move and give your teammate a free switch. A-Vulpix is to be used as support for Slush Rush Beartic, since it’s the best snow setter in ZU and easier to pull off than rain.
