Clawitzer @ Expert Belt / Life OrbTrait: Mega LauncherEVS: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtkModest Nature- Water Pulse- Ice Beam- Sludge Bomb/Dark Pulse- Aura Sphere
Alright so Clawitzer’s pitiful base 59 speed means that it would still only hit a maximum speed of 238, so there really isn’t much of a point investing in that. Clawitzer on the other hand has decent 71/88/89 bulk, with an impressive base 120 special attack - so the EVs focus on maximising bulk in the form of HP and Special Attack to maximise damage.Water Pulse is the STAB move of choice, being boosted by Mega Launcher from 60 power to 90 power the exact same as sruf - except iwht a 20% confusion chance. Ice Beam is the move of coverage to nail Dragon Types, Grass Types etc. while Aura Sphere is to hit steel types and such, as well as getting the boost from Mega Launcher. A choice between Sludge Bomb and Dark Pulse can be made, with Sludge Bomb hitting fairy types for good damage, while Dark Pulse gets the Mega Launcher boost and is Clawitzer’s best choice aginst ghost types like Aegislash and Mega-Gengar.In regards to the item, factoring in Clawitzer’s pretty good coverage, Expert Belt could be a choice, while Life Orb is an option to increase the power of all Clawitzer’s moves. Alternatively Leftovers could be used to make Clawitzer a more bulky attacker with some form of healing.

If you could somehow get this on a Trick Room team, it can hit hard. Water Pulse is STAB and gets boosts from Mega Launcher and Choice Specs. This is the same for the other moves, minus STAB.

How about a physical set?Sure Clawitzer has better special attack but a physical set could be fun and unexpected.Clawitzer @ Life Orb/LeftoversAbility:Mega LauncherEVS: 252Atk 252HP 4Def/SpDef
Adamant/Jolly Nature-Swords Dance-Crabhammer-Aqua Jet-Rock Slide/Substitute
This set is sure to surprise some people as Clawitzer is usually a special attacker. It has access to crabhammer which is one of the best (if not the best) physical water move in the game and with swords dance, it makes for some great fun and reactions from people. Aqua jet is a good priority move for cleaning up and rock slide is just good in general. Sub can be used for setting up swords dances and hiding behind.
Chuck on a life orb and you are going to do some serious work. Or you could run leftovers and sacrifice that extra damage but get a few more swords dances up.

Clawitzer @ life orb/choice scarfAbility:Mega LauncherEVS: 252SpAtk 252 HP 4 of whatever you wantModest Nature-Water Pulse-Ice Beam-Aura Sphere-Dark Pulse
Well first of all, why no dragon pulse? well ice beam gives better coverage and I think that you don’t even need dragon pulse. It doesn’t cover against anything that ice beam doesn’t. Plus ice beam hits grass types hard. Some people run scald but I like water pulse for the troll confusion and also for the mega launcher boost - its slightly stronger than scald after mega launcher boost.
Your movesets are good! Here is mine:Held item: Assault VestNature: Bold (+Def;-Atk)Evs: 252 HP; 252 SpA; 4 DefMoves:-Water Pulse-Ice Beam-Aura Sphere-Dark PulseWhen I’m considering between Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse, I think I will die agaisnt a Grass-type tank, so this is it!Also this dude has to have Bold nature if you let him hold an Assaust Vest.

Gen 8 NUClawitzer @ Choice ScarfAbility: Mega LauncherEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeTimid Nature- Water Pulse- Aura Sphere- Terrain Pulse- U-turn
This set is to be used in Grassy Terrain. Water Pulse is STAB. Aura Sphere provides good coverage and can deal with Steel Types such as Aggron. Terrain Pulse is why this set is to be used in Grassy Terrain. When Grassy Terrain is active, it turns into a Grass type move, gets a Mega Launcher boost, and a Grassy Terrain boost, allowing Clawitzer to OHKO bulky water types such as Lanturn and Vaporeon. U-Turn is for pivoting. Thwackey makes a good teammate for this set since it can setup Grassy Terrain.
Gen 8 NUClawitzer @ Expert Belt / Choice SpecsAbility: Mega LauncherEVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Aura Sphere- Sludge Bomb- Dragon Pulse / U-Turn- Dark Pulse
If you feel like using Clawitzer over Starmie as an offensive water type in NU for some reason, here is a set can you can use. If you hadn’t noticed, this set is without a STAB move. The reason for this is that Vaporeon is pretty common in NU at the moment, so its water STAB isn’t as good, and freeing water STAB opens up a coverage slot. Aura Sphere gets boosted by Mega Launcher and can deal with Copperajah. Sludge Bomb is good coverage and it’s 30% chance to poison can pressure Pokemon like Sylveon and Mantine. Dragon Pulse is coverage against Pokemon like Guzzlord and gets a Mega Launch boost. Dark Pulse is useful coverage against Pokemon like Dhelmise, Bronzong, and Golurk and also gets a Mega Launcher boost. U-Turn can be used over Dragon Pulse if you want to use a pivoting move. Expert Belt can be used to fake a Choice Specs, or you can actually use the item Choice Specs.

Clawitzer @ Life Orb/Expert BeltAbility: Mega LauncherEVS: 252 Sp Atk / 252 HP / 4 DefNature: Modest-Water Pulse-Dark Pulse-Dragon Pulse-Aura Sphere
This Moveset is power up by Mega Launcher, Water Pulse is STAB and also a chance of Confusing the target. Dark Pulse can deal some damage to a Mega Mewtwo or a Mega Alakazam and also to a Mega Genger. Dragon Pulse just to deal some damage to dragon’s, since dragon’s are to overpower. Last is Aura Sphere first is doesn’t miss and deal some good damage to Steel, Ice, Dark and also to Normal type’s. I hop this help :)
Clawitzer @ Life Orb / LeftoversAbility : Mega LauncherEVs : 252 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 4 Sp.DefModest Nature- Water Pulse- Aura Sphere- Ice Beam / Sludge Bomb- Dark Pulse / Shadow Ball
If only this thing would learn Agility, this would be a lot faster. It only has 162 Speed, only having 59 Base Speed. It has decent enough Attack and Bulk. It would have 163 Atk and 372 for Sp.Atk . Sticking on to the moves, Water Pulse would have 120 base power because of STAB, and with Mega Launcher, it would be stronger. Aura Sphere is reserved because of Mega Launcher. Ice Beam is for Grass , Flying and Dragon Types. Sludge Bomb is for Grass and Fairy Types. Dark Pulse for Psychic Types and Ghost Types. Shadow Ball has the same purpose, only that Dark Pulse is Stronger but Shadow Ball has the chance to lower Special Defense. Life Orb is choosed as an item for attacking. It’s okay to choose other items but I would pick Life Orb or Leftovers.
Clawitzer’s Ability mega Launcher powers up pulse and aura moves by 50% which makes this Pokemon good to use in battle.
Here is a good moveset for the awesome Water type Pokémon
ClawitzerAbility:Mega LauncherNature: Modest (+S.Attack, -Attack)Moveset:Heal Pulse: When in a bad situation, use this move. Plus since its a pulse move, its powered up giving you more HP than you expect.Ice Beam: Although not a pulse or aura move, it does cover its grass type weakness.Water Pulse: Good STAB move and gets powered up by its ability.Aura Sphere: Never misses (unless your a digging or diving or phantom forcing etc) and is powered up by ability.
So there you have it. Clawitzer’s greatest stat is its special attack and has low speed. So use an Assault Vest or if you wanna show everyone Clawitzers savage power beforehand, use a Quick Claw.
Anyways hope I helped at least some people I don’t expect to help everyone.
Clawizter@Leftovers/Assault VestAbility: Mega LauncherEVs: 4 Def / 252 Sp Atk / 252 Sp DefModest NatureMoves:Aura SphereShadow Ball/Double TeamWater PulseDragon Pulse/Dark Pulse/Ice BeamAura Sphere and Shadow Ball cover all types. Ghost hits at least neutral damage for all types except dark and normal: aura sphere fixes that up. Double Team is if you don’t want to run Assault Vest. Water Pulse is obvious: Dragon/Dark Pulse, both are really the same. I prefer Ice Beam as it hits super hard on Grass types.
Don’t skip leg-day, folks.
Mega Man (Clawitzer) @ Choice Scarf/Life Orb/Leftovers
Ability: Mega LauncherEVs: 252 Spd, 252 Sp. Atk, 4 HPNature: Timid
*If you’re going to use Swords Dance, make sure you have Leftovers or Life orb.
Clawitzer @ Choice Scarf/Life OrbEVS: 252 Spe / 252 Sp Atk / 4 HP ScarfEVS: 252 HP / 252 Sp Atk / 4 Def OrbModest or Timid Nature- Water Pulse- Dark Pulse- Aura Sphere- Sludge Bomb/Ice BeamI don’t feel like you need the ice coverage when Sludge bomb covers grass as well, but also Fairy types which are for the most part tanky and more of a threat, so having a wall breaker for them is always great, Ice Beam offers coverage for Ground and Flying types instead so it depends on what your team is lacking for coverage tbh. Water Pulse and the rest seem self explanatory to me, maybe except Dark Pulse, which I personally like for Dragapult, Aegislash, Indeedee and others. The item depends on if you want it to sweep or not, even with Choice scarf the speed will be rather mediocre, but it is viable if you feel like you’re lacking major speed control. Life Orb is the item you run for most damage (unless you’re confortable with Choice Specs) but you’ll only work as a wall breaker then (which isn’t bad, just a limitation) since you won’t outspeed anything.
I run a different set for doubles, it’s pretty much a gimmick but I kinda like it.Clawitzer @ Choice SpecsEVS: 252 HP / 252 Sp Atk / 4 DefModest Nature- Water Pulse- Sludge Bomb- Aura Sphere- Dark Pulse/Flip TurnYES it’s a full on wall breaker, this gets you a whopping 558 Special Attack, you can run it with Life Orb if you feel more comfortable tho, but what do I do about speed? I run an Alakazam with full speed investment that learns Speed Swap. This allows you to pass a 383 speed Stat to your Clawitzer and make it a sweeping machine. You can do the same with Emolga, who learns both Speed Swap and Tailwind, but can’t work offensively like Alakazam if for some reason you can’t setup. With tailwind alone you’d have to invest EVS on speed to make it actually outspeed things (so Clawitzer wouldn’t be bulky enough). About the moveset, Sludge Bomb is especially good in doubles since Clefairy and Togekiss can’t use Follow me safely, but if you need the Ice coverage go for Ice Beam (since it also hits Togekiss just as hard). Flip Turn in case you want to use it as a revenge kill move against very low Pokemon and to switch into a safer Pokemon, pretty good with Choice Specs since you don’t get stuck in one move, but it will take away from your coverage. You can use this strategy with Vikavolt too for example.
FINALLY, a set I wanted to make work for doubles but couldn’t, I think it had potential thoClawitzer @ Blunder PolicyEVS: 252 Sp Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HPModest Nature- Muddy Water- Aura Sphere/Focus Blast- Dark Pulse- Sludge Bomb/Ice BeamMuddy Water hits both opponents as a 90 base power STAB, doesn’t hit your allies, but it’s accuracy isn’t the best. If it misses one of the enemies, Blunder Policy gives you a double speed boost (same for Focus Blast if you’re that desperate for the speed, but that’s very risky). Make sure to give it an ally that can protect it or disable enemy mons with finches or whatever. Anything with Helping Hand also helps since you have nothing to increase damage output besides EVS and nature (which already gives it a really good Sp Atk but sometimes not enough).
