Gen V

Deoxys-Attack @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpeHasty Nature- ExtremeSpeed- Psycho Boost- Thunderbolt / Thunder- Ice Beam

Special attacker that incorporates classic BoltBeam coverage as well as supreme speed control through ExtremeSpeed. Focus Sash allows Deoxys to survive an attack through its 50 / 20 / 20 bulk. Thunder is preferable on rain teams, and potentially in general depending on the format.

Deoxys-Defense @ LeftoversAbility: PressureEVs: 156 HP / 100 Def / 252 SpDBold Nature (+Def, -Atk)- Recover- Night Shade- Cosmic Power- Toxic

Toxic stall set. Cosmic Power + Recover can make Deoxys impossible to take down in some late-game situations. Night Shade decreases its passivity.

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- ExtremeSpeed- Stealth Rock- Spikes- Taunt

Dedicated lead intended to set hazards on HO teams and prevent the opponent from doing the same. Deoxys-S is particularly good at this due to its high Speed, which lets it Taunt (almost) anything it wants. Focus Sash typically secures at least two layers of hazards.

My Deoxys-D Moveset:Deoxys-Defense @ LeftoversAbility: PressureEVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SpDCareful Nature- Rest- Sleep Talk- Psycho Shift- Night Shade

Deoxys-Attack@ Life OrbAbility: PressureEVs: 128 Atk / 128 SpA / 252 SpeNaive Nature- Psychic- Shadow Ball- Superpower- Extreme Speed

This set seriously kicks butt, with Extreme Speed for quick finishing, and Superpower to demolish the opponent…but then you are at risk…

Well, because deoxys got new event moves, why don’t I use them in a set:Deoxys-Speed @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeTimid Nature- Nasty Plot- Psychic / Ice beam- Dark Pulse- Focus Blast

This is his setup sweeper set. He will only be outsped (sometimes) by other Deoxys.Psychic is for STAB. Ice beam is for all of the dragon and flying types in Ubers.

Here is a set I use in Ubers, and I am really, REALLY liking it. It’s a team support Deoxys-S. It can take most hits and abuse Trick, or it can Trick on a switch thus allowing it to return with some moves of its own. It’s not designed for survival. The design is to screw an opponent’s Pokemon and then get hazards up before being killed. Suicide support essentially xD

Deoxys-Speed @ Iron BallAbility: PressureEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Stealth Rock- Taunt- Trick- Superpower

Iron Ball screws the Pokemon, whether it be wall with lefties, or attacker with LO/Choice item. Taunt hits those set-up pokes and the hazard setters such as Dialga and Ferrothorn. Stealth Rocks helps the rest of my team gets KOs. Superpower is just a filler and I normally switch out when taunted anyway.

National Dex

Deoxys-D can provide a nice defensive backbone and a Spiker. Its biggest competition in Mew doesn’t have the bulk to take many attacks, especially if it’s the suicide lead set. Spikes are for the residual damage. Recover is recovery. Knock Off is for getting rid of items, like getting rid of Heatran’s Leftovers, Zapdos’s Heavy-Duty Boots, and Ash-Greninja’s Choice Specs. Removing the enemy’s Leftovers or Boots is great utility for its offensive teammates. Taunt shuts down defensive Pokemon, while Teleport can be used to pivot out of bad matchups and bring in teammates safely.

Defense Forme: Gen 9 NU HO LeadDeoxys-Defense @ Red CardAbility: PressureTera Type: GhostEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Stealth Rock- Spikes- Knock Off / Night Shade- Taunt / Night Shade

A lead dual hazards set that Deoxys-Defense, or DeoD(or Deodorant)can use on Hyper Offense teams in Gen 9 NU. DeoD has the luxury of using a dual hazards lead set in Gen 9 NU due to its bulk and decent speed, which is useful since there aren’t other HO leads that can learn both Stealth Rock and Spikes aside from Lead Booster Energy Iron Thorns. Stealth Rock is used for a hazard to chip opposing Pokemon switching in as long as they aren’t wearing Heavy-Duty Boots. Spikes is used to chip grounded Pokemon switching in, wearing them down with both Spikes and Stealth Rock up. With DeoD’s bulk, you can get all layers of hazards up depending on the opposing team and lead they send out. Knock Off allows DeoD to remove items, which is useful to remove Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Pokemon so they can take chip damage from hazards. Taunt is useful to stop slower Pokemon such as Swampert from setting up hazards and slower wallbreakers/sweepers from setting up in front of DeoD. Night Shade is an option to deal consisten damage to opposing Pokemon. You can use Night Shade in Knock Off’s slot so you can also have Taunt to help wear down slower Pokemon if needed, or in the 4th slot to have both Knock Off and Night Shade. I recommend having Brambleghast on the team with lead DeoD since Brambleghast can spin away any hazards that have got on your side and acts as a spinblocker. Red Card is the preferred item since it forces the opposing Pokemon out should they hit DeoD with an attacking move. You aren’t really going to use it most of the time since this is a lead set, but Ghost is the Tera Type so DeoD can become an emergency spinblocker.

Deoxys-Speed @ Toxic OrbAbility: PressureEVs: 200 HP / 20 Atk / 100 Def / 100 SpD / 88 SpeAdamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)- Psycho Shift- Facade- Pursuit- Stealth Rock

Set Stealth Rocks first turn, Then Psycho Shift Poison to the opponent. If they switch, double Pursuit damage. If they don’t, double Facade damage. A lot of prediction, though.

Deoxys-Defense@ LeftoversAbility: PressureEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Recover- Toxic- Calm Mind- Ice Beam

This is one of my favorite Deoxys-D sets, it has its flaws but is a really reliable moveset.

Alright, so I just found out I have the Masuda Deoxys (the one with Nasty Plot) on my Diamond game, so here’s a moveset for that:I chose Speed Forme because Normal Forme and Attack Forme have garbage defenses so they can’t set up, and Defense Forme plays a better role at Toxicking, Spike-setting, etc. Speed Forme has decent defenses, so it can set up and fire off nuclear-powered attacks after a Nasty Plot.

Deoxys-Speed @ LeftoversAbility: PressureEVs: 252 SpA / 252 HP / 4 SpeModest Nature- Nasty Plot- Psyshock / Psychic- Thunderbolt- Ice Beam / Recover / Magic Coat

So here it is. Nasty Plot was the basis of this set, allowing Deoxys to set up. The EVs might seem strange, and indeed, they are, but they are to make sure it has enough bulk to set up a Nasty Plot. I really don’t like using a Focus Sash set, as priority is all over the place in Ubers and Talonflame is everywhere in OU. Psychic forgoes the ability to wreck Chansey and Blissey for more power, so if that’s what you like then you should probably choose it. Ice Beam can be used for coverage in tandem with Thunderbolt for the classic BoltBeam combo, while Recover is just useful as a move. Magic Coat can act as a surprise for those people who try to status you.

I have unique Deoxys set:

Deoxys-Attack @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeModest Nature- Stealth Rock- Psycho Boost- Ice Beam- Taunt

Your normal Deoxys-A is a pure sweeper. However, I thought: Deoxys-A has base 150 speed, so it could function as a lead to! You may be thinking: ¨Deoxys-S is such a better lead, just use him!¨ I have something to say about that: Does Deoxys-S have dual 180 attack stats? No. So, I give you: The lead-sweep Deoxys-A. Half lead, half sweeper.Stealth Rock allows Deoxys-A to function as a hazard setter. Psycho Boost is insanely powerful STAB. Ice Beam is for coverage against dark types, and because Yveltal is pretty much the only dark type in Ubers, Ice Beam is used.Taunt is to shut down passive Pokemon such as Chansey, Ferrothorn, and Toxapex.

The EVs are for Deoxys to be as fast and powerful as possible. A Focus Sash is used to be able to live one hit, so he can set up and attack before going down. Pressure is the only ability Deoxys can have. Finally, a Modest Nature is used to hit as hard as possible.

Hope you like this set!

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Extreme Speed- Torment- Taunt- Thunder Wave

This is a pretty darn mean guy. No XK or sweeping for you.

Ok this deoxys is for clearing the most annoying PokemonsSet works for Deoxys speed, attack, or normal form

Deoxys-Speed @ Life OrbAbility: PressureEVs: 128 Atk / 128 SpA / 252 SpeNaive Nature- Fire Punch- Ice Beam- Drain Punch / Superpower- Energy Ball

Fire Punch: for Ferrothorns and ScizorsIce Beam: annoying Gliscors and DragoniteDrain Punch / Superpower: for Blisseys, Tyranitar, and Heatran that wall this setEnergy Ball: for the ever-annoying Resto Chesto Rotom-Wash

Hope this set works for you!

Deoxys-Speed @ Focus SashAbility: PressureEVs: 128 HP / 128 SpA / 252 SpeTimid Nature- Spikes- Stealth Rock- Psycho Boost- Substitute

Spikes- Damage upon switching in. Can stack damage if you feel you need to.Stealth Rock- Damage upon switching in. Deals great damage to Pokemon weak against rock (up to 50% max health if weak 4x)Psycho Boost- Strong attack, assuming you haven’t already been KO’dSubstitute- If you’re ignored or not knocked down to using the Focus Sash after turn one, can be used to stack Spikes.

Played with a friend using a set-up like this one and is great for support. Only problem is Stealth Rock can only be learned in B2/W2 (I believe, maybe B/W as well) via Move Tutor. You could always switch it out for Psychic for a damaging attack that doesn’t down stats or give it a something that inflicts a status condition.

A trolling set for the current OU metagame that has worked for me so far and it’s the most unexpected thing out of a Deoxys you could see. Full EVs aren’t invested into Speed since almost nothing is going to outspeed 420 Speed with a Choice Scarf, with that, you can put your preferred range of bulkiness in.Trickmakes wonderful trollage with a Choice Scarf, especially on stuff trying to use status moves which you can then punish with aTaunt.Stealth Rockis for the hazard lovers while you can give others a taste of their own medicine withRole Play.Psyshockis a decent attacking move to have in case of Taunts andPsycho Shiftis just more trolling.

Is your prediction game any good?

Deoxys-Attack @ Focus SashAbility: PressureTimid NatureEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe-Mirror Coat-Counter-Magic Coat-Psycho Boost

Can you predict which class of move the opposing Pokemon is gonna use, and reflect it accordingly? It’s basically self-explanatory. Mirror Coat special moves. Counter physical moves. Magic Coat non-damaging moves. When you’re down to your sash, fire off a nuclear Psycho Boost before dying.

I use this set whenever I use Deoxys. It is my signature set for Deoxys.

Deoxys-AttackAbility: PressureEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 SpeHasty Nature- Psycho Boost- Extreme Speed- Superpower- Ice Punch / Knock Off

Psycho boost= coverage, if you’ve already used superpower and don’t want to switch.Extreme Speed= priority, for killing pokes that used a sash.Superpower= coverage, ultimate destroyer.Ice Punch / Knock Off= dragon destroyer / psychic destroyer

Gen III.

Deoxys-Defense @ LeftoversAbility: PressureEVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpDCalm / Careful Nature- Night Shade / Seismic Toss- Toxic- Recover- Spikes

Doesn’t matter which nature you use because you have fixed damage. EVs even out Def and Sp. Def stats.

Gen III

Deoxys-Attack @ Focus BandAbility: PressureEVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpeModest Nature- Psychic- Thunderbolt- Ice Beam- Fire Punch

Basic sweeping set, Fire Punch is special in Gen III.

My moveset for normal forme:

Deoxys @ Leftovers / Wide lensAbility: PressureEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 SpeHasty Nature- Psycho Boost- Shadow Ball- Fire Punch- Drain Punch / Brick Break / Focus Blast

Psycho boost has STAB on top of already very high power (140), and so can be used to confront bulky attackers such as Aggron and Swalot. Shadow ball covers Deoxys' ghost weakness and also other psychics. Fire Punch punishes bug Pokémon looking to do super effective STAB damage with moves such as X-scissor or Megahorn. Fire Punch also gives Deoxys a physical attack which complements his equally strong attack/special attack stats. Drain Punch covers super effective dark types and will also restore health to keep Deoxys in the fight. You can use brick break for a bit more power but no healing, or even Focus Blast if you look to provide a fighting alternative to Psycho Boost.

The leftovers complements Drain Punch to restore even more health. If you teach Deoxys focus blast, the wide lens may be a better choice as he will gain accuracy boosts for both focus blast and psycho boost.

Let me know of any suggestions :)

I got this Deoxys-A moveset from the official Smogon website:

Deoxys-Attack @ Life OrbAbility: PressureEVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpeRash Nature- Psycho Boost- Superpower- Ice Beam- Dark Pulse / Extreme Speed

Psycho Boost is insanely powerful STAB, Superpower is great coverage against dark types, Ice Beam is for coverage. The final slot is your choice: Dark Pulse is coverage against Ghost-types, but Extreme Speed could be used for priority attackers like Weavile.
