All-Out Attacker
Drampa@ Choice Specs/Life OrbAbility: BerserkEVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpDQuiet NatureIVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe- Hyper Voice- Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor- Fire Blast/Thunder- Hurricane/Shadow Ball
One of the most powerful special-attackers introduced in Gen 7, Drampa has a wide movepool, allowing it to hit many things super-effectively. This set is meant to be used in Trick Room and can either run Life Orb, if you’d like to switch around your attacks, or Choice Specs, enabling you to deal ultimate damage with your must-have STAB moves, Dragon Pulse and Hyper Voice, although Draco Meteor is also viable late-game. The other two moves can vary widely- in a rain team, Thunder and Hurricane are great choices with 100% accuracy in rain and chances to wreak status on the opponent, providing coverage against the common Fighting- and Water-types. However, Fire Blast (or Flamethrower, with more accuracy), can also deal major damage to troublesome Steel- and Ice-types and Shadow Ball can be used against Psychic- and Ghost-types.
Bulky Special-Attacker
Drampa@ LeftoversAbility: BerserkEVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 80 SpA / 4 SpDRelaxed NatureIVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe- Calm Mind- Roost- Dragon Pulse- Hyper Voice/Glare
Another Drampa set to be used in Trick Room, this one utilizes a Calm Mind and Roost combo to heal while gaining power and special bulk. You can choose to have an all-out defensive EV spread as another choice, but I chose this to add some power. Despite this, a Toxic-Spiker would work well with a defensive EV spread to have something to stall with while Roosting up. Dragon Pulse is its main move, with Hyper Voice as another damaging option. Glare can also be used in place of Hyper Voice to paralyze the opponent, giving you a chance to set up more. Since this set is totally inefficient against Mimikyu, a popular Pokémon nowadays, you may choose to run Shadow Ball to ensure a hard hit. Enjoy both these sets I’ve made! :D
Here I go with a VGC17 set:
Drampa @ Sitrus BerryAbility: BerserkEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpDQuite NatureIVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe- Hyper Voice- Dragon Pulse- Flamethrower- Protect
It seems a bit straight forward a simple 252-252 set but on drampa works perfectly! sitrus berry is for a possible second berserk boost, dragon pulse and hyper voice are the STAB moves (hyper voice hitting both target is deadly) and flamethrower is mainly for kartana and ninetales. it’s a classic trick room set and in combination with oranguru you can fire off two powerful hyper voices (with instruct) or just pair with another Pokemon to spam damage!
I have come up with 2 sets for Drampa, hope you like them.
Drampa@ Sitrus BerryAbility: BerserkEVs: 128 Def / 252 SpA / 128 SpDModestNature- Substitute- Dragon Pulse- Hyper Voice- Extrasensory
The plan with this set is to get up 2 substitutes and get down to 1/2 HP, activating Berserk. Then using the Sitrus Berry, you’ll get back to 3/4 HP so it’ll be like you’ve only used 1 Substitute (assuming you’ve taken no damage in the interim). Dragon Pulse and Hyper Voice are strong STAB. Extrasensory is a high powered special attack which deals with Drampa’s Fighting-type weakness.
Drampa@ Holding Wise GlassesAbility: BerserkEVs:252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpeTimid / ModestNature- Rain Dance- Hurricane- Thunder- Hyper Voice / Dragon Pulse
Set up the rain on the first turn and then go to town on your enemies. Hurricane is a strong Special Attack that deals with one of Drampa’s weaknesses, and has a 30% chance to confuse the opponent, AND! Never misses if the rain is up. Thunder, much like Hurricane, is a strong Special Attack and has a 30% chance of paralyzing the opponent, and never misses if the rain is up. Dragon Pulse / Hyper Voice are both strong STAB moves, so it’s your choice.
Gen 8 UUDrampa @ Life OrbAbility: BerserkEVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpDModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Hyper Voice- Dragon Pulse- Flamethrower- RoostExplanation:Hyper Voice and Dragon Pulse are STAB moves for Drampa. Fire Blast is to take care of Steel Types because they resist Drampa’s STAB moves. Roost is for healing. Also, if it works, it could be used to spam the ability Berserk.
Drampa @ LeftoversAbility: BeserkEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpDCalm Nature- Calm Mind- Roost- Dragon Pulse- Hyper Voice / Flamethrower
Special Tank. This hits surprisingly hard with 135 SpA. Calm Mind is to beef up your SpA and SpD even more. Roost is instant healing. Dragon Pulse is STAB. For the last move, you can have more STAB with Hyper Voice, or use Flamethrower for Steel-types.
All-out Special-attacker
Drampa @ Weakness PolicyAbility: BerserkEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SpAIVs: 0 Atk / 0 SpeCalm Nature- Thunderbolt / Hurricane / Focus Blast- Dragon Pulse / Extrasensory- Roost- Calm Mind / Glare
This is my personal Drampa, Does really good in Double Battles. Just set up some Light Screen & Reflect, also be good to use some Trick Room the Drampa could out speed the Pokemon’s. also giving you a chance to stack up on some Calm Mind. Noted this is my Favorite Set for Drampa give a try.
Good luck on your Battles :)
This Drampa is power!
Role: Special Sweeper
Drampa@ Life OrbAbility: BerserkEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpAQuiet Nature- Hyper Voice- Flamethrower / Fire Blast- Dragon Pulse / Draco Meteor- Calm Mind
What I would say about Drampa is that it may be pretty slow, but with that base Special Attack of amazingly 135, this guy is pretty much a powerful Pokémon, making it capable of sweeping some teams. With it’s 4 Defense EVs, Drampa can be quite a bulk sometimes, with it’s Special Defence at 91 and HP at 78. The ability, Berserk, can be quite scary for some opponents, with it’s Special Attack rising by 1 stage when it’s HP falls below half, and Calm Mind, which also raises it’s Special Attack plus it’s Special Defence by 1 stage, will make this guy pretty buff. Hyper Voice, with the power of 90, plus approximately 30 more power due to STAB effect, is a very good move for Drampa. Flamethrower or Fire Blast, with a power of 90 and 110 and with an accuracy of 100% and 85%, are also good moves for it, since it covers weaknesses, such as Ice and Fairy. Dragon Pulse or Draco Meteor are very good STAB moves for Drampa. They both have incredible power. Dragon Pulse at 85 power and 100% accuracy and Draco Meteor at 130 power and 90% accuracy. With this moveset, Drampa can be the new swiffer! That was a pretty bad joke. lol
Trick Room Weather Warrior
Drampa@ Assualt VestAbility: Cloud NineEVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpAQuiet Nature- Hyper Voice- Extrasensory- Flamethrower- Dragon Pulse
Drampa@ Choice SpecsAbility: Sap SipperEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpAModest Nature- Draco Meteor- Hyper Voice- Flamethrower / Fire Blast- Focus Blast
Draco Meteor and Hyper Voice as STAB. Flamethrower/Fire Blast for hitting Ferrothorn and others. Focus Blast is for Normal type Pokemon.
Role: Special Tank
Drampa @ MetronomeAbility: BerserkEVs: 128 Def / 252 SpA / 128 SpDModest Nature
Drampa (M) @ Dragon gemAbility: BerserkEVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpeMild Nature- Dragon Pulse- Calm Mind- Steel Wing- Dragon Dance
Dragon Pulse for STAB. Calm Mind for making him bulky and powerful. Steel Wing for against Ice- or Fairy-types.Dragon Dance for making Steel Wing more powerful and to be as fast as a quick dog.
Gen 8 NUDrampa @ Choice SpecsAbility: Sap SipperEVs: 252 SpA / 44 SpD / 212 SpeModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Draco Meteor- Hyper Voice- Fire Blast / Flamethrower- Surf
With the recent banning of Goodra, Drampa may have some potential in NU. This is a Choice Specs set. Draco Meteor is an incredibly powerful dragon move. Hyper Voice is your Normal-type attack that is the most spammable of your STAB moves due to having no drawbacks. Fire Blast is used to hit Steel-types like Copperajah and Escavalier with a lot of power, whereas Flamethrower is more accurate to hit the Steel-types. Surf allows you to hit Diancie super effectively, who would otherwise wall you.
Drampa’s ability Sap Sipper is used on this set to provide an immunity to allow you to switch into to Pokemon like Decidueye and Vileplume easier. 212 Speed EVs allow you to outspeed max speed Adamant Copperajah. The rest of the EVs are dumped into Special Defense to help take some special hits better.
I’m surprised there aren’t anyThroat Spray Hyper Voicesets on this yet. This old dragon is incredibly powerful, boasting a base 135 SpA. Boosting it’s best stat furthermore with Hyper Voice and Throat Spray, this thing is a monster under Trick Room. Also, this set is forGen 9 NatDex RU.
Drampa (M) @ Throat SprayAbility: Cloud NineTera Type: Normal / PsychicEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpAQuiet NatureIVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe- Extrasensory- Dragon Pulse / Draco Meteor- Hyper Voice- Ice Beam / Shadow Ball
0 IVs in Speed ensures high Speed in TR. Extrasensory is coverage for Fighting types. Hyper Voice is necessary for Throat Spray to activate and is STAB. Dragon Pulse and Draco Meteor are your Dragon STAB choices. Shadow Ball is a good choice for coverage against Ghosts. Ice Beam is also nice coverage. Tera Normal is to boost Hyper Voice, but Tera Psychic is to remove a weakness and boost Extrasensory. EVs are to furthermore boost firepower and bulk. Quiet Nature is for even less Speed.
