Gen 8 ZUEmolga @ Choice SpecsAbility: Motor DriveEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Volt Switch- Air Slash- Energy Ball- Thunderbolt

Choice Specs gives Emolga some breaking potential. Thunderbolt gives Emolga a consistent Electric STAB. Volt Switch lets Emolga switch out against Pokemon it cannot beat. Air Slash is useful against Pokemon who resist Emolga’s Electric STABs. Energy Ball lets Emolga hit Ground-types such as Rhydon, Palossand, and Stunfisk super effectively.

Gen 8 ZUEmolga @ Heavy-Duty BootsAbility: Motor DriveEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Nuzzle- Defog- Roost- U-turn

A pivot set that uses Emolga’s typing and Ability. Nuzzle is used to paralyze faster Pokemon. Defog lets Emolga clear away entry hazards, providing utility for the team. Roost lets Emolga have a way to recover HP, giving it longevity. U-turn lets Emolga switch out and bring in teammates and is used over Volt Switch on this set so it can switch out against Ground-types.

My Emolga moveset, may not be the best but works for me.

Emolga (F) @ Focus SashTrait: Motor DriveEVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 SpdTimid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)- Protect- Encore- Agility/Roost- Electro Ball

Start off with Protect, if the opponent uses power up move then use Encore on it.May be forced to switch, so free chance to up your speed with Agility. When your speed is up a fair amount 1 hit them with a + 6 Electro ball, then just sweep from there!

Emolga @ Choice ScarfAbility: StaticEVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 4 DefNature: Lax (+Def, -SpD)- U-turn- Volt Switch- Nuzzle- Air Slash

He’s not nearly fast enough enough to outspeed other sweepers, so Choice Scarf helps.Both returning moves for returning because that’s how I use choice users.Nuzzle is for paralysis.

don’t know how to set a comment on how it did properly yet, but this got me a straight 15 wins on showdown as my last Pokemon out against three or more Pokemon, excluding rage quitters with more than one Pokemon and disconnects completely excluded. it was so op it taught one guy not to call emolga weak when I let them take down my other five flying types on purpose. please, if anyone here wants a challenge, top my record by one Pokemon finisher in those circumstances where you can’t let any other mon win it doing so fails challenge. this was only pulled off in gen 5, but it needs to be beaten for once.

Thunderbolt is your main attacking move. U-turn is to pivot in and out. Taunt to stop setups, and Knock Off to get rid of the opponent’s item.

Mixed Weakness Policy Emolga set. Endure allows you to take a super effective hit and can allow Weakness Policy to activate, raising your attack and special attack by 2 stages. Acrobatics is STAB and works well when you consume your Weakness Policy. Thunderbolt is also STAB. Energy Ball is to deal with ground types.

Life orb boosts power and doesn’t lock you into a move, but has less power and makes it lose 1/10 hp after the attack. Motor Drive gives it immunity to electric type moves and boosts speed. The evs are bread and butter sweeper evs. Jolly for speed, and adamant for power. Wild charge is stab, but inflicts recoil. Spark doesn’t inflict recoil and has a decent paralysis chance, but is weaker than wild charge. U-turn is a pivot move that does damage. Knock off is coverage and removes items. Dual wingbeat is stab, but can miss. Iron tail is coverage, but it has bad accuracy. Aerial ace always hits, but is weaker than dual wingbeat.

Why’d you even use this thing.. It’s moveset sucks, It’s frail, all of It’s stats are mediocre except for Speed,Emolga, Will never find any use In anyFormat, Except for LC which It could be good at but, It doesn’t even evolve But If It could, It’d Immediately be S Tier, but Like I said, It doesn’t evolve, plus If It got banned In LC, It would 100% Find No Niche InNFE,If you’re looking for a Pokemon that’s an electric type, fast and Emolga’s there, UseElectabuzzInstead.
