A Mixed Sweeper Exploud!

Exploud (M) @ Choice ScarfAbility: SoundproofEVs: 128 Atk / 128 SpA / 252 SpeNaive Nature- Brick Break- Crunch- Hyper Voice- Extrasensory

Scarf is for more Speed, which this Pokemon needs. Soundproof is for avoiding stuff like Perish Song. Brick Break is for killing things, along with breaking screens. Crunch is for the Ghost types. Hyper Voice is STAB, while Extrasensory kills Fighting types, which usually have low Sp. Defense.

Exploud (M) @ LeftoversAbility: ScrappyEVs: 220 HP / 8 Atk / 140 Def / 140 SpDAdamant Nature- Circle Throw- Frustration / Return- Substitute- Earthquake

Substitute + EndeavorGen 8 NUExploud @ Heavy-Duty BootsAbility: ScrappyEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Substitute- Endeavor- Boomburst- Fire Blast

Are you tired of walls like Diancie and Heatproof Bronzong walling you? Here is a Substitute + Endeavor set that can wear down those walls. Substitute is for bringing down your HP to a low range. Endeavor works well with Substitute since you’ll be at a low HP range and is useful against Pokemon that wall you since Endeavor can bring them to a low HP range. Boomburst is for strong STAB. Fire Blast is for coverage against steel types.

Pokemon:

Exploud (M) @ Choice SpecsAbility: ScrappyEVs: 252 Def / 252 SpASassy Nature- Boomburst- Flamethrower- Surf- Blizzard / Focus Blast

Ear Buster (Exploud) (M) @ Choice Specs / Life OrbAbility: ScrappyEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeModest / Timid Nature- Boomburst- Flamethrower / Fire Blast- Ice Beam / Blizzard- Focus Blast

Specs STAB Boomburst is simply amazing. 140BP move with no drawbacks. The icing on the cake is that Exploud gets the awesome ability Scrappy, meaning that those pesky ghosts can no longer switch in with impunity.

Flamethrower/Fireblast to roast Steel types switching in predicting Boomburst.

Ice Beam/Blizzard and Focus (Miss) Blast is for much welcomed coverage.

Fire Blast/Blizzard or Flamethrower/Ice Beam is the classic reliability vs power issue, but I lean towards Flamethrower/Ice Beam because of the nerf.

Playing this set is simple. Spam Boomburst, or pick an appropriate move and watch things get major damage.

Boomburst absoulutely DESTROYS everything!

Exploud @ Choice SpecsAbility: ScrappyEVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeModest Nature- Boomburst- Focus Blast- Overheat- Surf

EDIT: Major moveset overhaul. Was a noob back then.

Usage Tips

Exploud is a wall breaker so send him up against physical walls to scare them out and abuse Boomburst. Sticky Web support also helps Exploud drastically. Avoid priority and faster sweepers. Thundurus is amazing for Exploud, controlling speed with Thunder Wave and resisting any fighting type attacks. Also, have a lot of Volt Switchers and U Turners as it makes switching into Exploud easier.

Exploud @ Life OrbAbility: ScrappyEVs 68 Atk / 252 SpA / 188 SpeNaive Nature- Extrasensory- Focus Blast- Boomburst- Thunder Punch

~ Extrasensory (Chance of flinch and cover fighting weakness)~ Focus Blast (Stops Steel and Rock Types walling it completely)~ Boomburst ( Base 140 power + the boost from STAB making it 210)~ Thunder Punch (Coverage and low chance of paralysis)

Exploud (M) @ Chople BerryAbility: ScrappyEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpAModest Nature- Boomburst- Focus Blast- Sleep Talk- Rest

Details/strategy:Basically just spam Boomburst, and use Focus Blast against Rock or Steel type (or against any other type weak to Focus Blast if you want to risk it). If your health gets too low: Rest and Sleep Talk. Chople Berry to weaken incoming Fighting moves and give you the chance to take them out. This set usually works very well for me. The EV’s in HP make this thing take much more hits and since it’s speed isn’t that good anyways I find it the better option. As for the Nature, I’d stick with Modest, though you could get it’s defense on par with it’s special defense with Bold or get some speed with Timid.

I use this:Exploud (F) @ Silk ScarfAbility: SoundproofEVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 4 SpeBrave Nature- Boomburst- Zen Headbutt- Hammer Arm- Ice Punch

Exploud (M) @ Choice SpecsAbility: ScrappyEVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeTimid Nature- Boomburst- Surf- Ice Beam- Fire Blast

This set attempts to wallbreak as best as it can with Boomburst while using its great coverage to hit Pokemon that resist Boomburst. However, Exploud is outclassed by Swellow, which possesses the same Scrappy Boomburst that Exploud has, because Swellow is faster, can pivot on bad matchups, and can revenge kill. Other special attackers like Gardevoir and Raikou also outclass Exploud due to higher Speed, way better defensive utility, and, importantly, a way better typing

The Exploud set that counters itself.Gen 8 NUExploud @ Throat Spray / Choice SpecsAbility: SoundproofEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Boomburst- Fire Blast / Overheat- Shadow Ball- Focus Blast / Ice Beam

Is a specs Boomburst Exploud getting annoying and you don’t have a fast Pokemon that can deal with it? Never fear, Exploud can counter its own set. Thanks to the ability Soundproof, Exploud can switch into a Boomburst Exploud without any fear. Boomburst is strong STAB. Fire Blast / Overheat is for coverage against steel types such as Copperajah and non Heatproof Bronzong. Shadow Ball is so you can hit the few ghost types in the tier and hits Heatproof Bronzong super effectively. Focus Blast or Ice Beam is coverage that can deal with Tyrantrum if it tries to switch in.

Note: If you run Throat Spray as your item, run Fire Blast so you won’t cancel out the special attack boost by using Overheat. If you run Choice Specs, you can run Overheat over Fire Blast for more power.

Gen 8 NUExploud @ Silk ScarfAbility: ScrappyEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Taunt- Boomburst- Flamethrower- Surf

Taunt Exploud is seeing some usage in NU as it bothers slower Pokemon. Taunt stops slower Pokemon like Vaporeon and Mantine from using status moves, also leaving them unable to recover from Exploud’s atttacks. Boomburst is incredibly strong STAB. Flamethrower is for coverage against steel types such as Copperajah and non Heatproof Bronzong. Surf is for coverage. Silk Scarf gives Exploud’s Boomburst more power.

Exploud @ Assault VestAbility : ScrappyEV’s : 252 Hp , 200 sp.atk , 34 Def , 25 Sp.Def / 252 Hp , 252 Sp.AtkBold/Modest nature(-Atk +Def , -Atk +Sp.Atk)- Boomburst (Soul reason for choosing Exploud)- Fire Blast / Focus Blast ( takes out Steel which is resistant to normal )- Surf ( takes out Rock types which is another resistant to normal that is Boomburst)- Blizzard/Ice beam(Coverage)This Exploud is an absolute monster. You can also use Quiet or Relaxed nature. Hope this helps.

Mixed Work Up ExploudGen 8 NUExploud @ Silk Scarf / Life OrbAbility: ScrappyEVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpeMild Nature- Work Up- Boomburst- Low Kick- Shadow Ball

Someone else came up with this set, and I really wanted to post it here. This is a mixed Work Up Exploud set. Work Up is for boosting your attack and special attack. Boomburst is incredibly strong STAB and even hits ghost types like Golurk and Decidueye thanks to Scrappy.Low Kick is coverage that is for rock and steel types that mainly targets Copperajah. Shadow Ball allows you to hit Bronzong super effectively.

Exploud @ LeftoversAbility: ScrappyEVs: 252 SpA / 4 HP / 252 AtkHardy Nature- Ice fang- Thunder fang- Boomburst- Synchronoise

Ice / Thunder is great coverage. Synchronoise is just good coverage. Boomburst is a great stab.
