Emperor of Fabulous @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDNature: Impish-Toxic / Thunder Wave-Return-Roar-Cotton Guard

Peasants aren’t worthy of breathing the same air as the Emperor of Fabulous.

So this set is basically there to stall out physical attackers, but to be honest it would work a lot better if Furfrou had a reliable recovery move outside of Rest, which it doesn’t. Still, Fur Coat is an interesting ability that’ll halve the damage of any physical moves, which will let it have some form of a niche in NU. You can choose to run Charm over Cotton Guard, since that will force your opponent to switch out, but really Cotton Guard is better since it boosts your stats instead.

Furfrou doesn’t have a very good move pool for attacking, and the only viable moves for a Band set would be Wild Charge, Return, Sucker Punch & U-Turn. It’d be interesting to see what moves it gets through breeding though.

Furfrou @ Leftovers:Trait: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 DefCareful Nature

This set is odd, and patience and prediction are the key of its success. Cannot be used against any Pokémon immune to Toxic. The EVs are mostly for HP and Special Defense. Cotton Guard once is hard, twice, it is unstoppable with Fur Coat. Toxic removes some HP to your opponent’s Pokémon, turn after turn. Protect is to stall and scout, for example, Swords Dance Garchomp or Scarchomp, but this has no uses in OU. Return is your STAB.

RestTalk########name: RestTalkFurfrou @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatBold NatureEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SoFIVs: 0 Atk-Toxic-Snarl-Rest-Sleep Talk

Toxic cripples the opponent and Snarl can be used against Special Attackers because it lowers their Special Attack. Rest can be used when Furfrou is at low HP and in need of recovery, while Sleep Talk can be used when asleep to continue using moves. Fur Coat is Furfrou’s only legal Ability, which halves the damage taken from all physical attacks. Leftovers is the recommended item for this set because it gives consistent healing to Furfrou. The recommended EVs and Nature maximize Furfrou’s Physical Defense. 0 Attack IVs and a Bold Nature minimize opposing Foul Play damage. Have fun using this moveset!

Fur Attacker (Furfrou) @ Choice BandAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 SpeNature: Adamant / Careful- Sucker Punch- Wild Charge- U-Turn- Return

Thick Fur (Furfrou) @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDNature: Impish- Toxic / Thunder Wave- U-Turn / Return / Sucker Punch- Cotton Guard- Refresh

Furfrou @ Assault VestAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/ 4 Sp.DefNature: Adamant

With Furfrou’s good defense stat thanks to Fur Coat, and its usable special defense stat, Furfrou makes a very interesting Assault Vest user. With an Adamant nature and max attack investment, Furfrou is able to not only tank hits but fire back some of its own. Furfrou’s good speed stat, even without investment still allows it to outpace many Pokemon in the NU metagame. As for moves, Return has a solid base power and STAB. However Retaliate can be used instead as a means to revenge kill adversaries that are slower than it. Wild Charge is there for coverage and at least neutral damage against Steel types but should be used sparingly because of Furfrou’s lack of recovery. Sucker Punch allows Furfrou to hit Ghost types that would otherwise wall it and gives it a priority move that has decent base power. Finally, U-turn allows Furfrou to act as a defensive pivot, taking a hit with its good bulk and then switching to a less bulky sweeper.

Furfrou (M) @ LeftoversTrait: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDefImpish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)- Cotton Guard- U-turn- Roar- Return

Furfrou @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDNature: Impish- Thunder Wave- Return- Charm- Cotton Guard

Great Mega Khan counter. Takes approx. 5% from PuP if he uses Charm first. (T-wave, keep Charming until parahax, Cotton Guard, repeat until full Defense, Return it slowly to death)

Furfrou @ leafoversMoveset:- Return- Cotton Guard- Wild Charge- Toxic

Ok, so Return is going to be good damage is your Furfrou is happy + STAB.Cotton Guard with its ability Fur Coat makes this poodle wall physical attacks with ease.Wild Change is for coverage and heal recoil with leftovers.Toxic to help whittle down HP (apart from steel obliviously!)I would recommend you EV train in Speed and Attack with a couple in Sp.Defence!

Furfrou usually runs one set; physical wall. So how ‘bout a band?fat sweaty guy (Furfrou) @ Choice BandAbility: Fur CoatNature: Adamant252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def-Return-U-turn-Sucker Punch-Wild Charge

This is a gimmick-ish set. It does decent damage though not too viable, does decent damage and take hits… so I guess it is a physical tank.

Furfrou @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HPNature: Jolly

If you’re willing to raise Happiness, Return is a nice and powerful move. Retaliate is a great option otherwise as it works wonderfully after a fainted Pokemon.

After this initial attack, run Furfrou as a standard Toxic staller. Cotton Guard is a beautiful defensive move when paired with Fur Coat. Once the Furfrou is setup, go back to attacking and Protecting alternately.

I personally run a Furfrou and mine has single-handedly taken down a Forretress before. Very nice Pokemon and absolutely lovable with the Dandy coat.

-Thunder Wave-Cotton Guard-Headbutt-Bite

This poodle can take a beating! Between its EVs, Fur Coat and Cotton Guard, it’s unlikely that this Pokemon can be taken out quickly with brute force. Start by dropping Thunder Wave to cripple the opponent, if possible. From there, either start setting up Cotton Guard or hammering away with Headbutt or Bite, whichever one makes more sense. Adamant Nature boosts its subpar Attack stat, allowing it to actually deal some damage with each hit. Each turn that the opponent flinches or parahaxes means another free turn, which is what this set depends on. If I’m doing my math right, the chance to get a free turn once paralysis is up is about 48-49%.

This Furfrou definitely works well with backup from a cleric (such as Audino) who can heal status with Heal Bell and/or Baton Pass a Substitute or Wish, as well as a Spinner/Defogger who can remove entry hazards.

Furfrou @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 Def / 252 SpDImpish NatureIVs: 0 HP / 0 Atk- Cotton Guard- Swagger- Substitute- Rest/Thunder Wave

I use this furfrou set in UU, it’s so evil. First you Cotton Guard to 4x Defense, then you swagger until your opponent has high attack. Now you put in a substitute and rest off your damage(or immobilize them even more) while they kill themselves.

Queen Of Hearts (Furfrou-Heart) (F) @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpDCareful Nature- Cotton Guard- Substitute- Toxic- Return

I liked this haircut the best, lol.

Anyway, Leftovers are for gradual recovery and healing Substitute damage. Fur Coat halves damage from physical moves, so I focused more on its Special Defense, with 252 EVs and Careful. 248 HP is to help it take both Physical and Special attacks. 8 Attack is for a bit more power added to Return. Cotton Guard is for boosting its Defense, making it very hard to break with physical attacks due to Fur Coat. Substitute is for avoiding status and a bit of damage. Toxic is for Toxic Stalling behind Substitute. Return is STAB that prevents it from being Taunt bait.

Pharaoh StyleGen 7 ZUFurfrou @ LeftoversAbility: Fur CoatEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Return- Zen Headbutt- Sucker Punch- Work Up

Return is STAB. Zen Headbutt is to deal with fighting types. Sucker Punch is foe ghost types and is priority. Work Up is to boost your attack.

Furfrou Gen 7, I guess. (Star Trim)Star (Furfrou)@Leftovers/Rocky HelmetNature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)EV: 252 Atk, 252 HP, 4 DefAbility: Fur Coat

Sucker PunchZen HeadbuttCotton GuardReturn

Now, this Star is going to shine brightly, hopefully. Sucker Punch to hit ghosts and have priority against some faster foes. Cotton Guard so you don’t die easily to physical attacks and boost Star’s defense that will reach the sky. Zen Headbutt is coverage against Fighting types. Return is STAB. Jolly nature to make sure we can outspeed some stuff and if it doesn’t work then Sucker Punch works.

Side Notes: Make sure to Cotton Guard at least once if you’re going to use it. It’s bulky on the physical side if you Cotton Guard once.

Hope I helped somehow…
