Registeel @ Choice SpecsAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpeModest Nature- Flash Cannon- Focus Blast- Thunderbolt- Hidden Power Ice

Flash Cannon is STAB, and nails Rock and Ice types for good damage, and other things for neutral nice damage.Focus Blast hits Steel types, and has pretty good coverage.Thunderbolt hits Water and Flying types for that nice damage, and has good power.Hidden Power Ice hits Ground types as they switch in.

“The Vault” Registeel Gen 9 VGC Reg G (Doubles)

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyTera Type: WaterEVs 252 Hp / 128 Def / 128 Sp DefNature: Careful-Body Press-Iron Defense-Amnesia-ProtectThis set has led me to victory quite often. and the premise is simple, set up with Iron Defense of Amnesia and use protect to heal with leftovers and then use Body Press against anything other than Ghouldengo or Flutter Mane

things that this Metal Monster absolutely WRECKS

-TerapagosAfter 2 Iron Defenses Body press becomes very effective against Terapagos and even if it carries Earth Power, you just use a combo of Amnesia and Protect to survive against everything it throws at you. and if it’s Terastilized you can still easily live.

-Incineroar:

With Clear body stopping Intimidate and since Incineroar rarely uses any fire type moves you can easily set up in front of him.

things you get smashed by

-All ghost types

Both Urshifu formes since they both have Unseen first and guaranteed critical hitting your better off just switching out .

Any feedback would be appreciated

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpDImpish Nature- Toxic- Stealth Rock- Protect- Seismic Toss

Defensive set that allows Registeel to setup Stealth Rock and pressure opposing Pokemon with Toxic. Seismic Toss lets Registeel have a move to deal consistent damage every time since its offensive stats aren’t that high enough to be threatening.

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 Def / 252 SpD / 6 HPBold Nature-Amnesia-Iron Defense-Seismic Toss-Toxic

AmnesiaandIron-defensecombine to give you insane defensive stats.Seismic-tossis for damaging.Toxicis forstalling.

Specially Defensive Curse Registeel

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 AtkCareful Nature- Curse- Thunder Wave- Stealth Rock / Earthquake- Iron Head

Registeel is very bulky, so it is almost guaranteed a turn to Curse. The Speed drop doesn’t really matter, as it’s not going to outspeed anything anyway. You can run a ParaFlinch set with Iron Head and Thunder Wave, and Stealth Rock is just a good move altogether. If you prefer coverage over entry hazards, you’re going to want Earthquake, as Ground/Steel is nearly unresisted type coverage.

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpDCareful Nature- Curse- Rest- Sleep Talk / Toxic- Iron Head

Curse is used to boost both Defense and Attack at once while lowering Speed, which doesn’t really matter since Registeel is naturally slow anyway. Rest is Registeel’s primary and only method of recovery, and Sleep Talk is used to not give foes free turns while Registeel is resting. Iron Head is the only viable STAB attacking option Registeel has. Toxic is also usable over Sleep Talk, as it helps with PP stalling and forcing out Pokemon while making Registeel much less dependent on Toxic Spikes. However, this also makes Registeel much more vulnerable while Resting.

Registeel uses Curse to boost Defense, so maximizing HP and Special Defense is better to allow it to check special attacking threats better. Leftovers is a staple on all defensive Pokemon, and Registeel is no different.

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpDBold / Calm Nature- Body Press- Iron Defense- Amnesia- Rest

Leftovers for slow healingAbility is Clear Body as it’s the only ability it gets, and it’s nice because the opponent can’t lower your defenceBold / Calm Nature for more bulk, lowering attack is useful for limiting foul play damage- Body Press (goes well with iron defense and does a ton of damage with its great bulk)- Iron Defense (boosts your defense and helps body press do more)- Amnesia (stop special attackers in their tracks)- Rest (healing, doesn’t matter much when you are insanely bulky)

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 Def / 128 SpD / 64 Atk / 64 SpeCareful Nature- Curse- Iron Head- Earthquake- Thunder Punch

Curse - boost to your already high Defense and gives you a chance to deal some damage.Iron Head - STAB, Accuracy, and a chance to flinch.Earthquake - Coverage, great physical move.Thunder Punch - Coverage.

Registeel @ Weakness PolicyAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 Atk / 24 SpA / 232 SpeNaive Nature- Rock Polish- Iron Head- Earthquake- Hidden Power [Fire]

Very unexpected. Due to Registeel’s excellent bulk and OK offensive stats, it can run a weakness policy very nicely. EVs insure that you get the OHKO on 0-invested M-Scizor with HP Fire, and that you can outrun fully invested positive natured base 145s after one Rock Polish. I was making the EV spread, and it just so happened that the SpA and Spe investments worked out perfectly, so that Atk can get the full investment it needs. Registeel is cool because it lives stuff like M-Gardevoir’s Focus Blast, and live both a Drain Punch and then a Mach Punch from full investment positive nature AV Conkeldurr. Clear Body, although Registeel’s only option for an ability, works nicely with the set, because it is immune to Intimidate and Sticky Web.

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpDBold Nature- Toxic- Protect- Flash Cannon- Hidden Power [Water]

• Toxic: Must I explain?• Protect: Good for stalling• Flash Cannon: STAB• HP Water: Covers ground and fire weaknesses

Nature is Bold because Ground- and Fighting- are mostly physical.

Registeel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 DefBold Nature- Curse- Iron Head- Body Press- Earthquake

Curse lowers it’s bad speed, Iron Head is STAB, Body Press takes advantage of its great defense that’s boosted by curse as well, and earthquake is coverage

Gen 9 NU Stealth RockRegisteel @ LeftoversAbility: Clear BodyTera Type: Dragon / WaterEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpDCareful Nature- Stealth Rock- Heavy Slam- Earthquake / Body Press- Thunder Wave / Iron Defense

A Stealth Rock set Registeel can use in NU. Registeel’s bulk allows it to be a really good Steel-type in NU, most likely being the best Steel-type in NU despite it being passive. Quite a shame Registeel lost its best sources of dealing damage with Toxic and Seismic Toss. Despite the huge losses, Registeel does what it does quite effectively in NU.

Stealth Rock lets Registeel setup a hazard that chips opposing Pokemon switching in. Heavy Slam is used for the Steel STAB since it is useful to hit opposing Pokemon such as Diancie, Brute Bonnet, and Tsareena harder than Iron Head. Earthquake is used primarily to deal super effective damage to Chandelure to prevent it from coming in for free. Thunder Wave allows Registeel to spread paralysis to cripple fast Pokemon switching in. Iron Defense and Body Press can be used instead of Thunder Wave and Earthquake to let Registeel serve as a potential wincon and make it not as passive. Tera Dragon as well as Tera Water allow Registeel to give Registeel a defensive typing that lets it resist Fire moves. Tera Dragon lets Registeel keep its resist to Grass and gives it other useful resists to resist Electric and Water moves. Tera Water lets Registeel resist Water moves while not being weak to Ice moves, which is useful against Inteleon.
