Tauros (M) @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Close Combat- Body Slam- Earthquake / Zen Headbutt- Throat Chop
Role: Low Acc SweeperTauros (M) @ Wide LensAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpeAdamant Nature- Iron Tail- Rock Slide- Zen Headbutt- Return
Well, this is the way to affectively use Wide Lens.
Letallof your moves reallyneedthat accuracy boost.
Iron Tail is 100 Power coverage with A Sheer Force boost, and Rock Slide gets Sheer Force boost, alone with Zen Heabutt with Covers his only weakness and gets the Sheer Force Boost. And Return is just awesome.
Tauros (M) @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 SpeNaive Nature- Rock Climb- Fire Blast- Zen Headbutt- EarthquakeTauros is a pretty strong Pokémon that can do major damage with Life Orb Sheer Force boosted moves, such as Rock Climb, Zen Headbutt, and Fire Blast. Rock Climb is probably the move you should be clicking on anything that isn’t a Rock, Steel, or Ghost type. Fire Blast is to hit psychically defensive Pokémon that are weak to Fire, like Avalugg, Skarmory, etc. Zen Headbutt is there to hit Fighting types, and Earthquake is for Rock and Steel types.
Gen V
Tauros (M) @ Choice BandAbility: IntimidateEVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Outrage- Stone Edge- Earthquake- Return
A surprise in the Uber environment, I used this guy on my Uber team before his position was usurped by Ditto. Sweeper EVs. Choice band lets it hit really hard. It can outspeed all of the Dragons in Ubers, and OHKO them (except for Dialga, who it 2HKOs with Earthquake.) Stone Edge deals with the Flying types of Ubers. Return provides powerful STAB, and a neutral hit on the rest of Ubers. Anger Point is unreliable, and Sheer Force can’t be used with Outrage, so Intimidate is the way to go.
Double/Triple battle
Tauros (M) @ LeftoversAbility: Anger PointEVs: 244 HP / 12 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Substitute- Earthquake- Rock Slide- Frustration
Set up Substitute. Then have a teammate (I use Cryogonal so I can also give screen help) use Frost Breath on Tauros. The Sub will take the damage. Then, Anger Point will activate. After that, sweep to your heart’s content with Earthquake and Rock Slide KOing every one of your foes at once. Frustration is STAB.
Role: Fast physical sweeper
Tauros @ Choice Band / Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 8 HP / 248 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Body Slam- Bulldoze- Zen Headbutt- Iron Head / Rock Slide
Body Slam / Rock Climb: Body Slam has 110 power thanks to Sheer Force and has 100% accuracy, while Rock Climb has 117 power but only has 85% accuracy. I prefer Body Slam.
Bulldoze: Coverage and has 78 power
Iron Head / Rock Slide: Both are for coverage
So yeah as you can see, this moveset is to take advantage of Tauros' Ability. I use this one quite a lot and it does surprisingly well in OU.
I know this is old but hey only just starting out :)
Zodiac (Tauros) (M) @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpeJolly Nature- Rock Climb- Zen Headbutt- Iron Head- Rock Slide
Rock Climb: Serious STAB powerhouse move with Sheer Force plus Life Orb boostZen Headbutt: For Fighting types, power increased by Sheer ForceIron Head: Coverage, better accuracy than Iron Tail, Sheer Force boostedRock Slide: Sheer Force boosted
Hope it serves you well :)
That bull is simply awesome. One of the best non-evolving non-legendary pokémon, I guess.
Tauros (M) @ Shell BellAbility:Anger PointEVs: 252 Atk / 6 SpD / 252 SpeLonely / Adamant / Naughty / Jolly Nature- Giga Impact- Zen Headbutt- Earthquake- Rock Slide
Yep,Giga Impactis the only STAB move in this set. I mostly focused on coverage, so if there can be only one STAB move, let it hit very big!Zen Headbuttdeals with Fighting, its only weakness,EarthquakeandRock Slidejust simply covers a lot of types. Oh. And one critical hit on Tauros, and they are doomed. >:D
Tauros (M) @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpeAdamant Nature- Body Slam- Zen Headbutt- Earthquake- Pursuit
Surprised nobody’s made a gimmick special attacking variant yet :P
Gen 8 (SwSh)
Tauros @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVS: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpeModest Nature- Hyper Voice- Thunderbolt- Ice Beam- Fire Blast / Surf
Don’t ask why a Normal bull can manipulate 4 kinds of elemental magic.
Gen 8 BDSP Monotype (Normal)Tauros (M) @ Life OrbAbility: Sheer ForceEVs: 192 Atk / 64 SpA / 252 SpeNaive Nature- Rock Climb- Earthquake- Fire Blast- Ice Beam
A mixed Sheer Force Life Orb set you can use on Normal-type teams in BDSP Monotype. Rock Climb is used as normal STAB, as you don’t have access to Body Slam in the BDSP games, and Rock Climb gets boosted by Sheer Force. Earthquake provides coverage that allows you to deal with Steel-types like Empoleon, Jirachi, Heatran, and Metagross should they switch in. Fire Blast allows you to 2HKO Skarmory and OHKO Scizor, since the former has a low special defense while the ladder has a 4x fire weakness. Fire Blast also gets boosted by Sheer Force. Ice Beam is another move boosted by Sheer Force that 2HKOes Gliscor and Garchomp, as well as being able to OHKO Dragonite after Stealth Rock Damage. You could technically run Thunderbolt on this set for Slowbro (and Mantine?), but it is incredibly niche, and Tauros needs these four moves.

Moveset
-Take Down-Zen Headbutt-Earthquake-Close Combat
Alright so with this set we have Anger point, If a critical hit lands your attack stat will get a boost. Take down of course along with close combat for some nice damage. Protective pads so if someone has something on that damages you by contact you will not be affected. This is a bit of an older moveset I did on SWSH a while back, but I think it is still somewhat viable in a comp setting. Earthquake & Zen Headbutt are 2 moves I think also work really well, and you can never go wrong with the move earthquake.
