Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAbility: HarvestBrave Nature- Trick Room- Rock Slide- Shadow Claw- Wood Hammer
I like this move set, simply because it can completely stuff up someone who is not expecting it. Switch in when you think you have a chance to set up Trick Room, and then proceed to sweep. Shadow Claw and Wood Hammer are STAB attacks, and Rock Slide is for those pesky Fire or Flying types that might try to switch in on you. Of course Trick Room sets are not without their problems, so you need to be careful of Pokemon that might have Shadow Sneak that would completely ruin your day. Otherwise I find very few people expect Trick Room, and as such it works quite well.
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAdamant Nature- Substitute- Leech Seed- Will-O-Wisp- Horn Leech
This guy is a great SubSeeder. He has WoW to wear down the foe faster, and Harvest and Horn Leech for even more recovery. Sub is what makes this a SubSeed set, avoiding status and attacks while recovering from Leech Seed, which wears down the foes whole it heals you. Will-O-Wisp is for even more residual damage on the foe and cripples physical attackers. Horn Leech is STAB and moar recovery.
Trevenant @ Choice BandAbility: Frisk / Natural CureEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDAdamant Nature- Wood Hammer- Shadow Claw- Rock Slide- Poison Jab

ULTIMATE STALL AND HP RECOVERING
I don’t take credit for this moveset.SourcePlease don’t hate or anything, I’m new at this.
I’m fairly new to this and have been lurking Pokemondb a while unregistered. I know X/Y came out recently but seeing the movesets offered for this Pokemon, I was disappointed that no one mentioned Forest’s Curse and I just had to register an account (finally) just to offer it for anyone whose interest I may catch with this moveset idea.
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 118 HP / 252 Atk / 140 SpDBrave Nature- Trick Room- Forest’s Curse- X-Scissor / Poison Jab- Phantom Force / Shadow Claw / Wood Hammer
I chose Trick Room to take advantage of his good attack and poor speed. Your opponent may not expect it and it will (ideally) irritate them.
The most exciting part of it all is the Forest Curse and X-Scissor/Poison Jab combo. Forest Curseadds grass typingto your opponent. I think it’s amazing that he can learn X-Scissor and Poison Jab, which we all know is super-effective to grass types. You can take your pick on which one you’d prefer, Poison Jab for 30% chance to poison your target (with the exception of Steel types though…), or X-Scissor.
And then you can take your choice for STAB: Phantom Force (goes through Protect and Detect), Shadow Claw (a solid choice), or Wood Hammer (very powerful, only downfall is the recoil). I personally prefer Phantom Force because protect is really irritating sometimes, so this gives the chance to be just as annoying to your opponent.
I’ve recently found an effective stalling set for Trevenant.
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpeImpish Nature- Substitute- Will-O-Wisp- Horn Leech- Leech Seed
The only reason I invested some into speed is because I don’t like speed ties. With the 6 EVs in speed, you can set up a Substitute before another Trevenant has a chance to hit you with Will-O-Wisp.
VGC TrevenantTrevenant @ Choice BandAbility: Natural CureEVs: 200 HP / 4 Atk / 112 Def / 148 SpD / 44 Spe- Wood Hammer- Phantom Force- Rock Slide- Earthquake

Gen 8 PUTrevenant @ Life Orb / Liechi BerryAbility: Frisk / Harvest (Harvest if you choose Liechi Berry)EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpDBrave NatureIVs: 0 Spe- Horn Leech- Poltergeist- Earthquake- Trick Room
Frisk allows you to know that the opponent holds the item so you can use STAB Poltergeist. Horn Leech is STAB and healing. Earthquake is for coverage. Trick Room so Trevenant can sweep. You can run Liechi Berry instead of Life Orb, but if you do, I’d have Harvest as the ability for those who run Liechi Berry so if sun and Trick Room is setup, you can get an attack boost from Liechi Berry, have Harvest give you another Liechi Berry, and sweep during Trick Room, but watch out for priority users.
Trevenant @ Chesto BerryAbility: HarvestEV’s: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpDImpish Nature- Curse- Protect- Horn Leech- Rest
So this set is completely original, and I haven’t played with it yet so I’m looking for some feedback and wondering if its any good. I haven’t seen anyone use a Chesto/Resto set with Trevenant and I think it could possibly work and also be extremely annoying and hilarious. Basically, you Curse the opponent and switch between Protect and Horn Leech until they switch out. If you find yourself low on health then Rest into your harvested Chesto Berry and restart the whole process. The only thing stopping this Trevenant is running out of PP! Let me know what you guys think of the set!
Trevor(Trevenant) @ Chesto BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpDImpish Nautre•Curse / Will-O-Wisp•Phantom Force•Horn Leech•Rest
UseCurseorWill-O-Wispfirst to start slowly damaging the foe. (Will-O-Wisp if you don’t want to get damaged as much, Curse if you want it to work quicker)Restto get your health back, and get woken up again by the Chest berry.Phantom Forcehas STAB to deal lots of power, while taking two turns to give a better chance of the Chesto Berry to come back from Harvest. AndHorn Leechalso has STAB and allows you to get back even more health.
I just REALLY REALLY wanted to post my Kee Berry physical tank here… even though I’m like 7 years late. If anyone reads this I hope this can help.
Trevenant @ Kee BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 DefImpish Nature- Will-O-Wisp- Leech Seed- Reflect- Shadow Claw
So I usually start with a Leech Seed because the first attack you take will take a bit of hp from you. Then I go with Reflect if i’m really low, or Will-O-Wisp if i’m over 50% HP. After doing one you should do the other one. Then Shadow Claw to add that bit of damage.Hope this helps!
(Edit: btw Harvest gives you your Kee Berry back over and over again so you can get a lot of defense every time you get hit by a physical move).
Gen 8 ZUTrevenant @ Choice BandAbility: Natural Cure / FriskEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 SpeAdamant / Jolly Nature- Poltergeist- Drain Punch / Horn Leech- Grassy Glide- Trick
This set is to be used with Grassy Terrain support. Poltergeist is powerful STAB. Drain Punch is for coverage that heals you. Horn Leech can be used instead if you want to heal with a STAB move that also gets a boost from Grassy Terrain. Grassy Glide is STAB that gets priority and a boost in Grassy Terrain. Trick is to cripple passive Pokemon by giving them your Choice Band. You can use Adamant Nature for more power, or Jolly for more speed. For the ability, you can use Natural Cure for healing yourself of status conditions when switching out if you were afflicted by one, or Frisk you can know you can safely use Poltergeist and Trick.
This set, though gimmicky, works wonders. It does have a hard time with Magic Guard users however so bring a check for Cleffable.
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpDCareful Nature- Leech Seed- Substitute- Curse- Shadow Claw
These movesets disappoint me. This is mine.
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / SpDCareful Nature- Leech Seed- Horn Leech- Will-O-Wisp- Protect
Obviously a wall. Wreck attackers with WOW+LS and stall with Protect. Horn Leech is for instant health + speeding up the process.
Staller Trevenant
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpDImpish Nature- Substitute- Leech Seed- Will-O-Wisp- Protect
The idea of this moveset is to slowly take down anything; sweepers, stallers, and walls.Right away, use Will-O-Wisp. IF you get hit, your Sitrus Berry will recover you immediately. If you happen to have really low health, Protect so that Harvest will bring the berry back from the dead.Use Substitute to easily stop your opponents move from hurting you. After that, just repeat. Many people will ragequit at this annoying yet amazing strategy.
Gen 6!
Trevenant @ Lum Berry / Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 SpeJolly Nature- Shadow Claw / Phantom Force (Crits or 2 turn power, STAB)- Horn Leech / Wood Hammer (HP Drain or Power with recoil, STAB)- Will-O-Wisp / Leech Seed (Burn or HP drain)- Rest (Epic with the Lum Berry)
This is maybe not the most common Trevenant but it works Epic! Shadow Claw / Phantom Force is realy good with 252 Attack EVs. Horn Leech is good STAB with HP Drain. Go for Wood Hammer if you have a Sun Team then you won’t need the HP from Horn Leech when you have Rest + Lum Berry. Wood Hammer is great STAB too!
Personally I chose:
Yggdrasil (Trevenant) @ Lum BerryAbility: HarvestEVsL 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 SpeJolly NaturePhantom ForceWood HammerWill-O-WispRest
My moveset is strongly recommended! :D
Lum-Rest
Trevenant @ Lum BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpDAdamant Nature- Wood Hammer- Shadow Claw- Power-Up Punch- Rest
Wood Hammer - STAB, high power, recoil won’t matter if you can keep your HP up with RestShadow Claw - STAB, good crit chancePower-Up Punch - Coverage against Sap Sippers and grants +1 boost to AttackRest - Full HP, no downtime with Lum Berry
Basically, this thing is designed to take hits. A lot of hits. And to take as many foes with it as possible with the boosts it gains with continual recovery. This is an excellent lead, as it can absorb status and begin building momentum right off the bat with attack boosts from Power-Up Punch. This also makes a great staller against many opponents that use high-power-low-PP moves. Will-O-Wisp would be a good option to make your defenses even better, but you give up coverage against the things that would wall you by taking 0 damage from either of your STABs: Sap Sipper normal types like Miltank and Sawsbuck. A Burn would help against them, but I feel like you can lose momentum very quickly that way. At +1 or higher, Wood Hammer is gonna hit hard, so you want to be able to rack up the attack boosts without getting set up on. Power-Up Punch + Shadow Claw gives you the perfect coverage you need. Comments/suggestions are much appreciated.
Staller/Wall
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 SpeTimid Nature- Confuse Ray- Leech Seed- Will-O-Wisp- Protect
This set doesn’t have any attacks, but usually by the time you’ve completely set up, Confuse Ray is gone, allowing you to start switching off between Confuse Ray and Protect, or the foe is fainted. I don’t know why anyone hasn’t used Confuse Ray. As a Staller, Confuse Ray has stopped several sweepers from getting an attack out. This set has worked well and has finished off a couple of teams in OU.
Trevenant @ Lum BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 196 HP / 196 Atk / 100 Def / 16 SpDAdamant / Brave Nature- Will-O-Wisp- Protect- Rest- Horn Leech
Trevenant @ Sitrus BerryAbility: HarvestEVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpDBold Nature- Leech Seed- Protect- Substitute- Toxic
First start with Leech Seed. Then the opponent probably switch Pokemon, so you use Substitute. If they don’t, that will guarantee a Toxic later. But don’t get caught by Taunt Magic Guard then switch out.TM 87 >(★~♡)<
