Substitute is to help Uxie setup Calm Mind. Calm Mind boosts your special attack and special defense. Psyshock is STAB and hits special walls. Stored Power is an option for a psychic STAB that has its base power increased as you increase your stats. Draining Kiss is for healing and is coverage against dark types. Giga Drain can be used instead of Draining Kiss for a stronger healing move. For the EV spread, run 252 HP / 236 SpA / 20 Spe if you’re running Psyshock. If running Stored Power, run 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spe. 252 HP is to help take hits. 20 EVs is to outspeed 136 Speed EV Altaria. The rest of the EVs go to either Special Attack or Defense, depending on which psychic STAB move you use.

Gen 8 NUUxie @ Kee BerryAbility: LevitateEVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Calm Mind- Stored Power- Draining Kiss / Rest- Heal Bell / Sleep Talk

Budget Cresselia. Kee Berry allows you to raise your defense upon being hit by a physical move. Calm Mind is for raising your special attack and special defense. Stored Power is for STAB. Draining Kiss is for coverage against dark types like Guzzlord and Drapion and also provides healing. Heal Bell is for healing status conditons should you be inflicted with a status condition. Draining Kiss and Heal Bell can be replaced with Rest and Sleep Talk as a wincon once dark types on opposing teams are knocked out. 252 HP EVs help with your bulk. 184 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows you to outspeed Non Choice Scarf Max Speed Rotom-C. The rest of the EVs are dumped into defense.

A Utility set Uxie can use in Gen 9 NU. Psychic is used for Uxie’s Psychic STAB, as it has decent power to threaten Poison- and Fighting-types such as Qwilfish, Salazzle, Toxtricity, Flamigo, Hariyama, and Tauros-Paldea-Aqua. Psychic Noise is an option for the Psychic STAB since it prevents opposing Pokemon from recovering HP for two turns. Knock Off allows Uxie to cripple opposing Pokemon by removing their items. U-turn lets Uxie bring in a teammate and chip opposing Pokemon while doing so. Uxie gets Pain Split now thanks to DLC 2, meaning Uxie actually has reliable HP recovery that can also lower the HP of opposing Pokemon. Leftovers is used to give Uxie a little HP recovery each turn. Tera Fairy turns Uxie’s Dark weakness into a resist. Tera Fairy also lets Uxie still resist Fighting moves.

252 HP EVs are used for bulk. 176 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows Uxie to outspeed Jolly Toxicroak. The rest of the EVs are used in Defense. Timid Nature is used since Uxie doesn’t want to compromise its bulk with a Hasty or Naive Nature. Knock Off and U-turn are used for utility rather than damage output, which is why Timid Nature is used.

With Cresselia banned from Gen 9 NU, Uxie is basically the bulky setup Psychic Pokemon that is used on offense teams. While this set doesn’t use Max HP EVs, this set is basically like the offensive Calm Mind Cresselia sets that started getting used before being banned from NU.

Nasty Plot is used to boost Uxie’s Special Attack so it’s attacks can deal more damage. While this set doesn’t use the most powerful moves Uxie gets, they have utility that makes the moves get used. Psychic Noise is used for the Psychic STAB due to the utility it provides of denying Pokemon HP recovery for a couple of turns, which is useful since Uxie has a base Special Attack of 75. Draining Kiss is used for the Fairy move since it gives Uxie a form of HP recovery so it can last longer. Encore allows Uxie to lock slower Pokemon into the move they last you, which allows you to have more setup opportunities or allow Uxie to 1v1 Pokemon such as Bronzong that aren’t Heavy Slam or the demon set with Calm Mind and Iron Defense. Substitute can be used instead to dodge status conditions and can take advantage of choice locked Pokemon locked into a move that Uxie resists or is immune to. You can consider using Shadow Ball in the last slot if you really hate Bronzong, but Encore can let Uxie 1v1 certain Bronzong sets. Leftovers is used to give Uxie some HP recovery each turn. Tera Fairy lets Uxie resist Dark moves and be immune to Dragon moves, which allows Uxie to wall Flygon. In addition to the defensive utility Tera Fairy provides, Tera Fairy is very useful for Draining Kiss. With Tera Fairy, Draining Kiss gets boosted to a 60 BP move and allows Uxie to get STAB on Draining Kiss.
