Role: Stealth Rock SupportGuildMaster(Wigglytuff) @ Life Orb / LeftoversAbility: CompetitiveEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpDModest Nature- Thunder Wave / Heal Bell- Stealth Rock- Dazzling Gleam- Hyper Voice / Focus Blast
(This set is originally made for PU, but it could be used in NU)
After experimenting with some sets for Wigglytuff, I found that its niche lies in its Competitive ability and access to Stealth Rock.
Thunder Wave is good for crippling the opposing sweepers, while Heal Bell provides support for the team.Stealth Rock is a good entry hazard that can force the opponent to use Defog and, thus, activating Competitive.Dazzling Gleam + Hyper Voice provides dual STABs. Note that Dazzling Gleam allows Wigglytuff to deal with Fighting-types and Dark-types, such as Poliwrath and Mightyena. Hyper Voice is a good spammable STAB move for dealing with Substitute users and neutral coverage. Focus Blast can be used as an alternative to Hyper Voice, since it deals with Rock or Steel-types that Wigglytuff struggles against.
Maximum SpA investment + Modest Nature + Life Orb is needed to maximize Wigglytuff’s damage output. However, Leftovers can be used to increase Wigglytuff’s life span and gives gradual recovery. The full investment in HP is helpful in increasing Wigglytuff’s bulk.
Some other options for moves can be a cleric set (in the form of Wish + Heal Bell) but this is generally outclassed by better clerics, such as Lickilicky. Focus Sash is a possible item for reliably setting up Stealth Rocks, but you would have to change the EV spread to 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe.
I’ll be brief here: Wigglytuff is mainly used for early-game to mid-game and should only set up Stealth Rock when offensive threats are removed (namely Rampardos).
Wigglytuff works well on Balanced or even Bulky Offense teams. For this reason, Poliwrath or Machoke are good options (they also deal with Steel and Rock-types so you don’t need to run Focus Blast). Roselia also works well and sets up Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Misdreavus may also provide valuable support in the form of Will-O-Wisp and Taunt and it even acts as a spin-blocker!
Hope I helped!
Role: LeadWigglytuff (M) @ Light ClayAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 252 HP / 40 Atk / 128 Def / 88 SpDAdamant Nature- Stealth Rock- Reflect- Light Screen- Body Slam
A Lead who can set up Stealth Rocks, and Both Screens.
Body Slam If there if you really need to attack, Defenses are equal, with Beastly Hp.
Pretty simple and Explanitory.
Wigglytuff (M) @ LeftoversAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 56 SpA / 100 SpDModest Nature- Wish- Protect- Toxic- Fire Blast
I’ve been getting into NU, Guildmaster Wigglytuff is known for the Hyper Voice, but what about the punching?
Wigglytuff @ LeftoversAbility:Cute CharmEVs:252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpeAdamantNature-Power-Up Punch-Drain Punch-Return-Ice Punch / Thunder Punch / Fire Punch / Knock Off
Get that attack up withPower Up Punchand then heal it off withDrain Punch.Returnis STAB, and the last slot isKnock Offor theElemental Punchof your choice.
Gen V Set for Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff (M) @ EvioliteAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpDImpish Nature- Counter- Seismic Toss- Disable- Wish
Use Counter, do a ton of damage to the foe. If they use Special Attacks, just hit them with Seismic Toss, mixed attackers you might be able to Disable their Special Attack. Wish works with high HP, so the next Pokemon can get a lot of health. Not the best wall, but I have a set for it, so I just decided to post it.
Gen V
Wigglytuff (F) @ Custap BerryAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpDBold Nature- Counter- Hyper Voice- Endeavor- Shadow Ball
The trick here is to use Counter (hoping Wigglytuff survives) to do a ton of damage to the foe and defeat them. The Custap Berry will then activate, allowing you to move first (except in the case of priority) next turn. So, you’d use Endeavor and make the foe have really low health, so YOU can then use a revenge killer. Hyper Voice and Shadow Ball are just there for special attackers, Hyper Voice for STAB and Shadow Ball for Ghost types. EVs are intended to make you survive the hit, but no worry, you’ll still be taking a lot of damage. Cute Charm is better than Frisk.
Gen III
Wigglytuff (M) @ LeftoversAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 SpeModest Nature- Thunderbolt- Ice Beam- Flamethrower- Thunder Wave
Alot like a Para-Sweeper.
You use Thunder Wave (With the Bulk to use it) And then use Bolt Beam and Flamethrower to sweep through opponents with super effective coverage on a good bit of opponents.
Double/Triple Battle
Wigglytuff (M) @ Light ClayAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 196 Def / 156 SpA / 156 SpDModest Nature- Reflect- Light Screen- Hyper Voice- Blizzard
Dual Screen support! It can also have the added effect of making Wigglytuff bulky. Hyper Voice is STAB that can hit multiple foes. Blizzard is high power, multiple Pokemon hitting.
Gen 6 Wigglytuff
Wigglytuff @ Expert BeltAbility: CompetitiveEVs: 128 Atk / 127 Def / 128 SpA / 127 SpDRelaxed Nature- Flamethrower- Psychic- Brick Break- Play Rough / Dazzling Gleam
Finding a move set was hard for me. However, I believe that Wigglytuff can be useful, especially in cases like mine, when you are making a fairy-based team. Flamethrower is useful for Mega Scizor and Lucario. Psychic is for Mega Gengar. Brick Break is used for coverage. It depends on whether or not you choose Play Rough or Dazzling Gleam. Play Rough has higher power and reduces the Attack stat but has lower accuracy. Dazzling Gleam has 100% accuracy and can hit multiple opponents but is weaker. Due to its base stat, I would recommend Play Rough
Lamer Special Bisharp! This guy received a lot of buffs this gen.
Wigglytuff @ Life Orb / Leftovers / Assault VestAbility: CompetitiveEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpAModest Nature- Dazzling Gleam- Fire Blast / Flametrhower- Thunder- Focus Blast / Shadow Ball
Dazzling Gleam - STAB
Fire Blast / Flamethrower- Coverage.
Thunder - Coverage.
Focus Blast / Shadow Ball- More coverage.
EDIT: Usage Tips
Wigglytuff is very slow and easy to wear down so Wish support is nice. Steel- removal is crucial to Wigglytuff’s success as most can just Bullet Punch or downright outspeed so pair it with steel ripping monsters such as Charizard X and Magnezone. Heatran is also a big threat to Wigglytuff and the currently laid down team so have something for that.
Wigglytuff@ Custap BerryAbility: Cute CharmEVs: 168 HP / 88 Def / 252 SpAModest Nature-Gravity-Sing-Dazzling Gleam-Dream Eater
Any Item can be used for this, but I just like Custap Berry for this because once you set up a Gravity, your moves will have good accuracy and then if your HP gets knocked down, Custap Berry will help with a priority Sing. Dream Eater is for healing and damaging and can inflict good damage on Poison Types while Dazzling Gleam is for STAB.

We’re taking a look-see at Wigglytuff, the cutest of cute.
Wigglytuff @ Light ClayAbility: FriskEVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpDModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Fire Blast- Psychic- Reflect- Heal Bell
This Wiggle Jiggle covers all of its weaknesses in two move slots! The rest are good cleric moves.
Gen 7 ZU / PU
Wigglytuff @ Life OrbAbility: CompetitiveEVs: 212 HP / 252 SpA / 44 SpeModest Nature- Dazzling Gleam- Flamethrower / Fire Blast- Thunderbolt / Ice Beam / Psychic- Stealth Rock
Competitive is the ability of choice because it doubles Special Attack upon stats beind lowered, so if Wigglytuff walks into a Sticky Web, or if its hazards are Defogged, it gets a free Nasty Plot.
Dazzling Gleam is STAB. Flamethrower or Fire Blast can be used to hit Steel types (such as Rapid Spin Alolan Sandslash in PU). Thunderbolt or Ice Beam are good coverage and can be used to hit most Defoggers super-effectively, however you have to pick between Thunderbolt for Swanna or Ice Beam for Sandslash. Psychic hits Poison types super-effectively. Stealth Rock to hurt switch-ins.
