What is a good team for Gen 5 OU?
Welcome to the BW OverUsed team thread! This thread is for showcasing your teams which have fared well on the ladder or in tournaments. In short, it’s a thread where you can show off teams without having to go through the trouble of writing up a full RMT. As long as the team is viable enough for the BW OverUsed metagame, you’re free to post your team in this thread (no gimmicks allowed!!). Now with that being said, here are a few guidelines which you’re expected to read before posting:
More information about posting can be foundhere.
That’s all, post away!

This is a contents section of the thread. All the teams posted in the thread would be sorted here according to their archetype, i.e., Balanced, Bulky Offense, Hyper Offense and Stall. If you feel your team is in the wrong section, please let me know.

Ferrothorn @ LeftoversAbility: Iron BarbsEVs: 252 HP / 8 Atk / 124 Def / 124 SpDImpish Nature- Leech Seed- Spikes- Power Whip- Stealth Rock
My support Pokemon, Ferrothorn is quite bulky and is capable of setting up hazards whilst being able to freely take hits, I had the split investment in both defences as I want to make use of both of them and maxmizing its hp with that small attack investment which can be quite helpful, Overall Ferrothorn is quite solid
Xatu @ Light ClayAbility: Magic BounceEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Psychic- Light Screen- Reflect- Thunder Wave
Another support Pokemon, Xatu with Magic Bounce is useful as it can block any hazards and then send them over to the opponent whilst setting up screens at the same time and being able to paralyse them, Xatu is really good its a shame it gets outclassed by other Pokemon.
Salamence @ Life OrbAbility: MoxieEVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 SpeHasty Nature- Draco Meteor- Dragon Claw- Earthquake- Brick Break
Our psychical sweeper, Salamance is really solid having stats nearly identical to a legendary combined with Moxie it makes it an unstoppable being of destruction with Draco Meteor to get a possible KO first then get the attack boost so you may begin sweeping with all your other psychical moves, I would recommend this for anyone who wants a creature capable of ruining lives.
Porygon2 @ EvioliteAbility: AnalyticShiny: YesEVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpDQuiet NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Tri Attack- Thunder Wave- Trick Room- Recover
Another support Pokemon, Porygon2 with an Eviolite makes it quite bulky combined with it setting up with Trick Room then switching to Ferrothorn so it can set up hazards faster with Thunder Wave to cripple opponents and being an absolute tank makes it being able to use Recover when taking a hit, Overall its a solid choice for a support user
Tentacruel @ Choice ScarfAbility: Clear BodyShiny: YesEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeTimid NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Scald- Sludge Bomb- Ice Beam- Giga Drain
Our revenge killer, Tentacruel is really solid having great special defence and speed combined with decent special attack being able to use some of that good coverage it can revenge kill Dragon types that lurk in the tier along with using Scald to get that 30% chance to burn the opponent to weaken them a bit, Overall a solid choice for a revenge killer with good bulk, offence and speed combined in one Pokemon.
Typhlosion @ Choice SpecsAbility: BlazeShiny: YesEVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 SpeModest NatureIVs: 0 Atk- Eruption- Extrasensory- Fire Blast- Focus Blast
Typhlosion is our special sweeper with Modest Nature+MAX Special Attack EVS+STAB+Chocie Specs making Eruption quite deadly as along as you take no damage which is why I have put in a lot of speed investments so it can attack before getting hit with Extasensory and Focus Blast for coverage and Fire Blast in case you somehow might get out sped and want some extra power, Overall Typhlosion is such a great Pokemon to use and remains as one of my favrouite starters of all time.
Hopefully, this helps :)
