What Psychic Pokemon could I use in Fire Red?
I’m looking for a good Psychic type Pokemon that would fit my team. Please suggest a replacement Pokemon and moveset.

This answer isnotbased on Nuzlocke Viability Rankings, as they slightly differ. It also doesn’t take post-game content into consideration.
Rankings based on the analysis:

Alakazam is undoubtedly the strongest Pokémon in FR/LG. With a sky-high Special Attack stat of 135 and a speed of 120, it sweeps a lot of gym leaders and E4 members. The only downside it has is its physical frailty, but that shouldn’t hinder much when you can outspeed and OHKO most of the time. Due to Psychic-type being so broken even in FR/LG and the lack of Dark-type Pokémon before post-game, it can spam STAB Psychic to the fullest and doesn’t need any coverage moves. Access to Calm Mind makes it a potent sweeper, taking down entire teams after a couple of boosts.Since Abra evolves into Kadabra at level 16, it is possible to trade and evolve it into Alakazam right away. This makes the early and mid-game extremely easy.
Alakazam @ Twisted Spoon / AnythingAbility: AnyEVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / AnyModest/Timid Nature- Psybeam –> Psychic- Calm Mind- Psybeam (for higher PP) / Filler- Filler
Jynx, despite being available after getting access to fishing, is a trade Pokémon and hence gets boosted EXP; this allows it to quickly catch up with the rest of the team. It naturally learns Ice Punch which is special in this Gen; this can really helpful as the only other reliable way (outside of Game Corner TMs) of getting an Ice-type move is Ice Beam on Lapras. Access to Calm Mind and Psychic (both available for free) makes it a potent sweeper. It comes with a fixed Mild Nature, which is amazing for it as it increases SpA. Even though it has a bad typing and abysmal Defense, it has enough Speed to outspeed most threats. It can also learn Perish Song for when in need.
Jynx @ Never-Melt Ice / AnythingAbility: Oblivious (fixed)EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / AnyMild Nature (fixed)- Psychic- Calm Mind- Powder Snow –> Ice Punch / Ice Beam (if you’re willing to grind for the TM, though there’s only a 15 BP difference)- Filler
Mr. Mime is available somewhat early, right after getting access to Diglett’s Cave. Even though it will most likely be at a low level, its a trade Pokémon and gets boosted EXP. It has above average SpA and Speed stats, and is very bulky on the special side. It naturally learns a decent coverage move in Magical Leaf (which can’t miss) and gets access to Calm Mind making it a potent sweeper. It can learn some TMs for coverage, though Psychic-type moves being so broken are easily spammable on their own.

Either Alakazam or Kadabra work effectively.
Kadabra and Alakazam can both spam Psychic moves and have Shadow Ball for coverage with a high special attack.

Lets look at all of the psychic types actually available.You can’t get staryu or slowpoke. That leaves us with these options:Alakazam: 500BSTBest stats: Special attack and speedKadabra: (If you cannot trade): 400BSTBest stats: Special attack and speedHypno: 483BSTBest stats: Special defense and HPExeggutor: 530BSTBest stats: Attack, Special attack and HPMr. Mime: 460BSTBest stats: Special defense and special attackJynx: 455BSTBest stats: Special attack, Special Defense and speedMewtwo: 680BSTBest stats: Special attack and speed(Not going to include Mew or Deoxys)
Mewtwo is probably not ideal, unless you hack the game, or you can trade, but since you have a haunter, I am guessing you cannot trade. You have to beat the whole game to get access, so…The next highest is Exeggutor. You already have a grass type however, so this may not be ideal, but since you have blastoise, you can probably make do. Its previous form can be caught after you beat the third gym, (skipping celadon and going straight to fuschia) in the safari zone.After that is hypno. You can technically catch drowzee after you go to bill’s house. (I think) It is a solid tank, and its special attack isn’t something to be ignored either.Mr. Mime is next. You can in-game trade for it by catching an abra. Solid tank that can send out damage too.Next is jynx. You can get poliwag pretty early, then get it to at least level 25. (If you have the super rod, you can just go to route six and fish for poliwhirl). You trade poliwhirl for jynx. Jynx is a Pokemon that has good special and is fast.Kadabra. (There are better)I’m not good at movesets, so if anyone wants to suggest them in the comments, I would be really thankful. Overall, I think you should take hypno or Exeggutor. Since hypno is more defensive however, others could still do it. Jynx is an attacker, but it definitely cannot take physical attacks. However, based on what I have seen, psychic types are used as special sweepers, so if you want a sweeper, take kadabra or jynx. If you wanna tank, take hypno. (All of these are based off of their stats and my personal experiences with these Pokemon.)
