Which Pokemon should I train to take on the Elite Four?
I am getting ready to start training for the Elite Four (2nd time) and Red and I have a problem, I have too many pokemon that I want to train but not enough spots in my party. I’ll list all the possible pokemon, their levels and moves.
Ampharos Lv.36: Focus Punch, Thunder, Discharge, Rock Climb(I plan on changing Thunder to Thunderbolt and Rock Climb to Signal Beam)I am currently training Ampharos through Exp. Share
Mamoswine Lv.50: Earthquake, Rock Climb, Ancient Power, Ice Beam
Kingdra Lv.50: Brine, Blizzard, Surf, Hydro Pump(I plan on teaching Kingdra Dragon Pulse for Surf)
Froslass Lv.50: Wake-Up Slap, Ice Beam. Ice Shard, Hail(I plan to teach Froslass Blizzard and Destiny Bod for Ice Shard and Hail respectively)
Magmortar Lv.51: Thunderbolt, Faint Attack, Lava Plum, Flamethrower
Graveler Lv.51: Stone Edge, Rock Climb, Rollout, Earthquake
Pidgeot Lv.52: Pluck, Fly, Roost, Quick Attack(I plan to have Pidgeot learn Steel Wing and Air Slash for Quick Attack and Roost)
Typhlosion Lv.53; Strength, Flamethrower, Blast Burn, Rollout(I plan to have Typhlosion learn Eruption for Strength)
Umbreon Lv.54: Shadow Ball, Faint Attack, Psychic, Dark Pulse(I plan to teach Umbreon Moonlight for Faint Attack)
Venusaur Lv.56: Double Edge, SolarBeam, Petal Dance, Synthesis(I plan to teach Venusaur Frenzy Plant for Double Edge)
Machamp Lv.58: Submission, Wake-Up Slap, Cross Chop, DynamicPunch(I plan to tach Machamp Poison Jab for Wake-Up Slap)
Gyarados Lv.58: Thunder, Hyper Beam, Surf, Ice Fang
Lugia Lv.60: Extrasensory, Surf, Ancient Power, Aeroblast
Blaziken Lv.61: Blaze Kick, Double Kick, Sky Uppercut, Shadow Claw(I plan to have Blaziken ‘remember’ Brave Bird and learn Flare Blitz for Double Kick and Blaze Kick respectively)

That’s quite a good crop of pokemon you have there. I would avoid Graveler and Pidgeot, they are not strong enough. I would do this:
Get rid of Hydro Pump on Kingdra. Surf is still powerful and much more reliable. Put in Dragon Pulse instead. (Personally I would go for Ice Beam instead of Blizzard for the same reason.) Brine isn’t too bad but it’s another water move when you could be using something else. Maybe Toxic just for kicks, or Return for when your HP gets low.
Ice Beam might not be that powerful on Mamoswine because his attack is higher than special. Avalanche is quite a cool move if you can withstand a hit before returning.
Use Waterfall on Gyarados instead of Surf, his attack is way higher than special. Earthquake is almost always a given on Gyarados (covers your electric weakness)
The others are quite good. I would pick Kingdra, Ampharos, Mamoswine, Umbreon, Lugia and either Magmortar or Blaziken.
I would train Ampharos and Graveler(but only if you can evolve him), Typhlosion and Blaziken, Machamp, and Lugia.
Hope this helps!;)
