Why aren't their any triple type Pokemon?
I mean, why not!? I could imagine Gyarados also being a Dragon type.

Because that would be stupid. There would be way too much hassle trying to remember what you resist what resists you. One Reason I Like the Pokemon Games is the base mechanics are simple (noyt like IV’s EV’s like types, PP and STAB) If you OverComplicate it it will lose some of its charm.
Well its probably because if there was any triple type Pokemon or either would have a lot of weaknesses or strengths, plus all Pokemons are made to have only a determined type of moves which are its two types which helps you determine what kind of moves will your opponent use and breaking that balance would make all competitive battles about luck and false supositionand like if that wasnt enough the competitive battles would be crowded with triple type Pokemon just so they can win easily. this is from my point of view.
I hope this explained your question
It would be to hard to keep track of super effective and not super effective
Some Pokemon with 3 types would be silly I thing. Cuz if the type is: ice rock and steel (in one Pokemon) fighting type moves will kill that Pokemon easily because it has the total weakness of 6. Just imagine. Genesect is bug and steel type which is vey weak to Fire type moves. So, Everytime I used my genesect when it hitted by fire type moves it always fainted. Even if hitted by ember with the power just for 40 my genesect will die because the total of the weakness is 4 when he hitted by fire type moves.
Part of the problem has to do with the internal memory of the games. Put simply, most Pokémon games will only have enough room to store 2 types per Pokémon (and now that there’ll be over 700 species of PKMN in Gen 6, along with the addition of a new type, that’s not likely to get much better!). Perhaps someday, once the memory capabilities of the 3DS (or future generations) cartridges improve so that it’s no problem to add in a third type for each applicable PKMN, we’ll have it, or it will be limited to a few PKMN with a third type.
But as for memory, I’d point you tothis page. Each of those entries is specifically listed in the internal memory of the game, and that’s a lot of type information, even if you don’t count the ones that don’t have any PKMN with those types (by clicking on the “Show All Types” button). So, the root of the problem is in the memory of each game.
