Why doesn't Motor Drive work with Fusion Bolt?

Also, I’m talking about Pokemon Showdown, so I don’t know if it’s just a glitch with the website, because I’ve never pitted something with Motor Drive against Fusion Bolt otherwise. If anyone knows about Fusion Bolt’s effect against Lightning Rod & Volt Absorb, or Fusion Flare against Flash Fire, I’d be interested in that too.

K, so I don’t think it’s a glitch. So I guess it’s Kyurem-B or Zekrom that used it on you? Well, they both have the AbilityTeravolt, which is exactly like the AbilityMold Breaker.

If this Pokemon attacks and the target’s ability would prevent the effects of the attack from taking place, or hinder the effects of the move, the ability is temporarily nullified while the attack is in progress. - Smogon.

It may be a glitch if the Fusion Bolt user was Victini. Only other guy other than Kyurem-B and Zekrom who learns it.
