Why is dracovish better than dracozolt?
Dracozolt has Bolt beak which is just fishious rend but electric type, Dracozolt has the same stats and a better movepool. If they’re that similar, Then why is dracovish better than dracozolt?

Dracovish and Dracozolt may have the same stats, but Dracovish is still miles better.
TypingDracovish only has 2 weaknesses (Dragon, Fairy) due to it’s decent Water/Dragon typing. Unfortunately, it only has 2 resistances to Water and Fire. Dracozolt, on the other hand, has 4 weaknesses, those being Ice, Ground, Dragon, and Fairy. It does have 6 resistances though.
MovepoolDracovish and Dracozolt have different movepools, obviously. I don’t know what you mean by a “better movepool,” on Dracozolt, because it doesn’t have as many coverage moves, and the ones it does have are usually inaccurate. Especially with it’s bad ability, but we’ll get to that later.
Notable moves for Dracozolt are: are Aerial Ace, Bolt Beak, Breaking Swipe, Dragon Claw, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Low Kick.
Notable moves for Dracovish are: Crunch, Fishous Rend, Earthquake, Leech Life, Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Low Kick, Stone Edge, and Psychic Fangs. As you can see, Dracovish has theSerperiorlearnset here.
AbilitiesDracozolt’s abilities are Volt Absorb, Hustle, and Sand Rush (HA).
Dracovish’s abilities are Water Absorb, Strong Jaw, and Sand Rush (HA).
Dracozolt has very mediocre abilities. Sure it has an immunity to Electric, but itdouble-resiststhat anyway. Hustle sacrifices accuracy for power, making already inaccurate moves like Stone Edge or Fire Blast unusable, and making other normally strong and dependable moves like Earthquake just a little bit less likely to save you when you need it. Sand Rush has no usefulness other than on Sand teams.
Two of Dracovish’s abilities aren’t much better. Water Absorb gives another double-resisted immunity, and Sand Rush is only useful on Sand Teams. But oh boy did it get another amazing ability.Strong Jawboosts the power of biting moves by 1.5x. And Fishous Rend is a classified as a biting move. Yeah. It’s pretty powerful. Add STAB and maybe a Choice Band or Scarf, and you’ll be OHKOing with even resisted hits. Strong Jaw also boosts a lot of other moves Dracovish gets.
DoublesI was talking about singles mostly, but apparently Dracozolt gets more usage in Doubles, because of Dynamax moves not missing. It can then abuse Hustle, basically getting a free boost with no drawbacks. Max Lighting sets up Electric terrain, powering up Bolt Beak, and Max Airstream raises Speed, making it more likely that Dracozolt will outspeed and have Bolt Beak’s power doubled. Dracovish usually doesn’t Dynamax, and usually relies upon a Choice Band/Scarf.
“In series 6, Dracozolt has a usage percent of 18.3%, and While Dracovish only 8.86%."(Thanks to ~MegaCharizardY~ for the information in the Doubles section!)
Here’s movesets for both of them though.
Dracovish @ Choice BandNature: JollyAbility: Strong JawEVs: 252 At and Spe, 4 SpD-Fishous Rend-Crunch-Psychic Fangs-Earthquake
(I got Dracozolt’s set from Smogon)Dracozolt @ Choice BandNature: JollyAbility: HustleEVs: 252 At and Spe, 4 HP-Bolt Beak-Dragon Claw/Outrage-Fire Fang/Aerial Ace-Earthquake
Because of their ability.Dracovish’s ability Strong Jaw boost a lot of power for Fishious rend andmake it’s power to 127.5 (Correct me if I’m wrong) and pairing with Choice Scarf it could outspeed a lot of others in Uber. On the other hand, Dracozolt’s most useful ability which smogon says was Hustle, Hustle might boost a lot of power, but it will makes it’s accuracy fells and has chances to miss. This was what smogon says about them:Dracovish:> While Dracovish has unimpressive stats for an Ubers-exclusive Pokemon at first glance, it is blessed with an extraordinarily powerful move in Fishious Rend, smashing almost everything in the tier. Fishious Rend is an all-purpose attack for Dracovish, punishing switch-ins and slower Pokemon such as Corviknight with an immense 170 Base Power. Choice Band along with an Adamant nature allows it to have maximum power, serving as a devastating wallbreaker. Choice Band Fishious Rend boosted by rain allows Dracovish to OHKO offensive Eternatus. Another option is to run Choice Scarf; although the lack of power compared to Choice Band is noticeable, it has a viable niche on rain teams. When rain is up and Stealth Rock is on the foe’s side, a Jolly nature allows Dracovish to 2HKO offensive Eternatus with Fishious Rend, while an Adamant nature allows it to 2HKO defensive Eternatus. Its coverage moves are rarely used due to the amount of damage Fishious Rend can do; however, Outrage is particularly useful against Eternatus when rain isn’t present. It is generally not recommended to Dynamax with Dracovish, as it loses the effect of its Choice items and Fishious Rend, but the Max Moves can be quite handy in a pinch.
Dracozolt:> Dracozolt acts as a physical attacker for Dragon teams that can deal heavy damage to slower Pokemon. Bolt Beak is Dracozolt’s strongest STAB attack, thanks to the fact that it doubles in power when Dracozolt moves first, allowing it to easily break any slower Pokemon that is not immune to Electric-type attacks such as Hatterene. Outrage is its strongest Dragon-type STAB attack; however, it gets locked into it, allowing Fairy- and Steel-type Pokemon to take advantage of Dracozolt. It also has the option of running Dragon Claw; even though it is weaker, Dragon Claw allows it to switch between attacks. Earthquake allows Dracozolt to hit Steel- and Rock-type Pokemon for super effective damage. Fire Fang can be used to hit Pokemon such as Ferrothorn. Hustle also increases its damage output, allowing it to hit Pokemon such as Hatterene for more damage;however, it decreases its accuracy.
So these are the main reason that why Dracovish was farther more better than Dracozolt, and hope it helps!!!
