Exactly why was it ubers in gen seven? And I mean the regular one not the mega. It’s counters in Tapu FIni, Toxapex and Slowbro all existed in gen seven were very common with Pex in particular is nearly omnipresent, not to mention that ash Greninja was a thing and was literally the best Pokemon in the tier and it doesn’t give a crap about speed. So why was it ubers?

Everything has it own counters. Regardless, it has some kind of move to beat all those aforementioned counters.
