Let’s break it down. So, Floatzel has 55 Defense and 50 SpD. To put that in perspective, MAGIKARP has 55 Defense. Here’s some damage calculations

252+ SpA Choice Specs Mesprit Psychic vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Floatzel: 246-291 (78.8 - 93.2%) – guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Abomasnow Giga Drain vs. 4 HP / 252 SpD Floatzel: 230-272 (73.7 - 87.1%) – guaranteed 2HKO after hail damage and Leftovers recovery

252 Atk Choice Band Skuntank Crunch vs. 4 HP / 252+ Def Floatzel: 160-190 (51.2 - 60.8%) – 94.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

This Floatzel gets OHKO’d or 2HKO’d by everything in PU. And that’s just PU! Also, if you want to run a bulky Floatzel, you should replace Torment/Roar for Scald, for the 30% burn chance, and your EVs to 252 HP/252 SpD/4 Def. This works much better as 252 HP always allows you to tank hits better than max split defenses.

Conclusion- This Floatzel will NEVER work in a competitive environment; only use it against friends.
